The guy got in jail for living in an area of Ukraine that was occupied by Russia. To free that guy you removed sanctions? It’s like treating a headache with beheading. See, the point is - why not free all who were occupied (aka Russia getting the heck out of Ukraine) and then consider removing sanctions?
