It would be foolhardy to think that Kirsty Fenton and Danella Butrus walking away from the ALW is an unfortunate coincidence rather than indicative of a pattern given the warnings PFA had issued about player welfare. Flow-on consequences for the national teams as well.

The A-League Women cannot consider itself - nor should it market itself as such - to be a breeding ground for future Matildas if there exists an established pattern of players stepping away for personal reasons.

Charlotte Church was outstanding in the U23's NPLW Grand Final against Illawarra Stingrays and did well in the shootout.
Sofia Fante is someone I think has an incredible future, but needs to get game time. Didn't work out at Sydney. Hopefully it works out at Wanderers for her.

Moose has been accused of beating women but Max Casters rap was a bridge too far
In the last two seasons, Macarthur have only drew below 3000 twice. So they are routinely getting more than 3k to their games. The club is slowly growing and heading in the right direction.
Could it be better? Sure. But it's growing.
