Getting blown up by a Russian drone to protect my beautiful nation of privatised water companies, boarded up shops, cracked paving, and political-media class who think I’m a racist because I oppose a genocide. No thanks mate.

Per Shawn Layden's comments a few years ago.
So @nikitabier's comments on GTA VI really resonated with me... GTA VI is a beautiful monument to the first 50 years of the industry. It is likely Casablanca or Gone With The Wind -- the culmination of a system prior to disruption, much like golden age Hollywood and the rise of television. We are already seeing the dismantling of the old studio system, AI's impacts are going to be dramatic, and the industry is totally reorganizing... But here is this beautiful thing that will likely stand as the last of it's kind and also the high water mark to which the new system will look to meet and exceed. That is why I am optimistic.

Ocarina of Time remake? Pfffft. Fresh out the oven are my thoughts on Digital Eclipse's latest retro collection, the Toy Story Retro Roundup!, which is inevitably a mixed bag but nostalgic nevertheless. mirror.co.uk/gaming/toy-stor…

You'll never be able to generate respect, Tim.
We have a huge pivot underway here at Epic, moving developers around to retool for maximum AI acceleration. The aim isn't to do the same stuff with fewer people, but to enable everyone here to build MORE and BETTER stuff, and to bring the benefits to all teams using Unreal.

Spent the weekend with the new Evercade Nexus and came away mostly very impressed. Overall it's a great evolution on the EXP before it and the screen is glorious, but the lack of a Rest mode feels like a missed opportunity. mirror.co.uk/gaming/evercade…

Nicolas Cage says he’s “probably not” working with Amazon again after refusing to sign an AI waiver for #SpiderNoir: “Amazon is a very AI-friendly company, to the tune of $50 billion invested in OpenAI,” Cage said at #NYCC. “I am not an AI-friendly actor, so it’s like, connect those dots! I’m not a member of their club. I didn’t sign the waiver to let him use AI on ‘Spider Noir.’ I’m probably not going to be working with that studio again, but that’s okay.” variety.com/2026/tv/news/nic…

If you think companies will give us a 3 day work week instead of forcing us to double our output over 5 days while suppressing wages, then you don’t understand capitalism, or the greed of the CEOs and billionaires who have built their wealth by exploiting the working class.

I was at the cinema this evening and during the ads before the film there was a Hallowe’en ad from Fanta. I couldn’t quite believe my eyes, but it was certified AI slop. I couldn’t record, of course, but I’ve found it online. I’m sure the Coca-Cola Company of all companies could afford a real ad. Down with AI slop.
