Happy 63rd birthday to A.C. Green. - 3x NBA champion - 1990 NBA All-Star - 1989 NBA All-Defensive Second Team - NBA record 1,192 consecutive games played Green’s Iron Man streak included some wild moments. In 1996, J.R. Reid elbowed him in the mouth and knocked out two teeth, but Green still kept playing and wore a protective mask. A year later, he broke the NBA record by appearing in his 907th straight game, with Dallas stopping play for a ceremony and Cal Ripken Jr. sending him a gift. He also somehow played 83 regular-season games in 1996-97 after being traded from Phoenix to Dallas because of the way the schedules lined up. And after winning back-to-back titles with Magic Johnson’s Showtime Lakers in 1987 and 1988, Green returned to Los Angeles years later and won another championship alongside Shaq and Kobe in 2000.
