A year since the announcement of a ceasefire on 10 October 2025, Israeli attacks never ceased in Gaza, raising serious concerns of continued crimes under international law including war crimes.
@OHCHR_OPT verified killing of 1,076 Palestinians in Gaza since ceasefire announcement as of the end of July 2026:
- 268 children, 126 women, and 682 men.
- 64 children killed in reported Israeli attacks that killed only children and no adults.
- 331 Palestinians killed near the so-called “yellow line” including 66 children, 27 women, and 238 men.
Third States must implement their duty to exercise influence over Israel to stop its violations of international law in Gaza including by ceasing the supply of weapons and munitions facilitating serious violations of international law, and supporting the work of international accountability mechanisms.

⭕️ US sanctions the International Criminal Court, threatening to “dismantle it brick by brick”
Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced Thursday that the United States is imposing sanctions on the International Criminal Court, banning transactions with the body and cutting off its resources in what he described as a response to the court’s pursuit of jurisdiction over American citizens.
“Either the ICC will end its threats, or we will end the ICC,” Rubio said in a statement, calling on US allies — many of whom are ICC member states — to “rein in the court” or face a continued US campaign to dismantle it.
The ICC has issued arrest warrants targeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant over war crimes in Gaza. Trump had previously clarified the administration’s real objective in July at Camp David, interjecting as Rubio spoke: “He’s trying to defend Bibi and various other people.”
