My grandma worked for Target for 35 years, her 1st and only job, bought 2 houses 1 in LA and 1 in Denver. Raised 3 kids on her own and lived comfortably. She retired back in 2016. Companies aren’t paying livable wages anymore, while they profit millions. It should be illegal.

Isao Okawa is primarily the reason Sega survived the failure of the Dreamcast. He was the chairman of Sega at the time and when he found out they were in serious debt he, from his deathbed, gifted them all $695 million of his stock in the company.

He was incredibly passionate about Sega and video games and personally loaned them money for countless projects, including R&D for the Dreamcast. After he passed, he posthumously forgave all remaining debts they still owed him.

it’s actually a lot worse than him just being a creep. He’s genuinely mentally unwell. He got arrested in 2022 for trespassing at a nursing home and then had to be sent to a mental institution after being deemed unfit to stand trial.
