We live in a society where women want to be PROVIDED for by men... While also COMPETING with those same men for the very resources they expect to be provided with. Basically, Men have to be provider to the same women they're competing for jobs with in 2026. The old deal was Men compete with other men for resources winner gets to provide for women and children. Women weren't in that competition. The roles were separated. Provider / Provided for. The new deal in 2026 is: Women are now IN the competition, competing directly with men for the same jobs, promotions, houses, status. But the old expectation didn't disappear. Many women still want a man who earns more than them, pays for dates, pays rent, protects, provides. So from a man's perspective it feels like this: "I'm fighting you for the same job. If you get it and I don't, I have less money. But you still expect me to have MORE money than you to date you. I'm supposed to provide for the same person who just out-competed me for the resources I'm supposed to provide with. It's basically two value systems running at the same time: Modern egalitarian system in the workplace: "We are equals, may the best person win." Traditional hypergamous system in dating: "The man should be above me financially." When you run both systems at once, the man feels like he's playing a game where he can lose twice. If he loses the job to her, he's broke. If he wins the job, he's called privileged. Either way, he's still expected to pay. Thats the point I am trying to make. Your opinions are welcome.
