I would pay really good money to be able to take my kids to a Pizza Hut Classic and have them sign up for BookIt! And play coin-operated Asteroid while we wait for our waitress to bring our drinks. β at Chesapeake, VA

This will forever be one of my favorite sports on TV memories. As a kid, watching McGwire belt home runs in the derby over the Green Monster was an all timer. No gimmicks, just pure bombs.

The HR Derby being streamed exclusively on Netflix is further proof that nobody hates their own fanbase more than Major League Baseball.

The Home Run Derby not being broadcasted on National Television is terrible. MLB is so dumb

Every kid in this country should be able to watch the Home Run Derby. You shouldnβt need a goddamn streaming service

I donβt know Jacob personally, his dad is a total studβ¦but wow this video was awesome. Play other sports and learn other skill sets. Learn to love the work it takes to be great. So many great lessons every athlete should hear regardless of sport. Congrats Jacob

Margaret, 90, had gotten outside twice before her son Keith installed cameras. He expected to find footage of the problem.
He found something else. Every single night for nine months their golden retriever Flynn had already been at the front door before Margaret reached the hallway.
Blocking. Redirecting. Taking her sleeve and guiding her back to bed. Thirty-seven documented nights. Not once had she made it outside. Margaret's neurologist watched the recording and said: "I have worked in memory care for twenty-three years. Flynn is performing structured redirection. He built every component of it on his own." Keith said: "He figured it out the first night."

Jorge Posada: The Yankees Ran a Military-Style Operation in the Minor Leagues
We were brainwashed from the minor leagues. They told us exactly how things were supposed to be. If you didnβt follow the rules, theyβd straight up say youβre not part of this organization.
How you wore your uniform mattered. You could only wear one chain, and it had to be small. No facial hair allowed, the hair couldnβt even touch the uniform. The hat had to sit perfectly straight, and the pinstripes on your jersey had to line up exactly with the pinstripes on your pants. You could only show four inches of blue sock and one inch of white at the bottom. That was the standard throughout the entire minor league system.
Mr. Steinbrenner implemented it from top to bottom. If your uniform wasnβt right, theyβd remind you immediately, βShow four inches of blue sock and one inch of white.β Cleats had to be all black with a black belt. If you had even a little bit of hair, like I do now, theyβd tell you straight up, go shave!
