This is Nin posting in Ith's behalf. Her mom passed a few minutes ago. She's thankful for all of your thoughts and prayers. You helped her feel not so alone...

Finally got a hold of my brother. I held phone to her ear so she could hear him. She seemed to recognize his voice, even as mangled as it is currently.

One truly good piece of news is he said they may move him from ICU in a couple days. Also had the last chest tubes removed today.

Ony way to the hospital. There won't be any home hospice. They think she'll pass tonight.

Thank you, everyone for the good council. I was talking to the laundry manager at work before I came home and she said she'd worked at an assisted living facility for 14 years, and said to talk to the hospice rep, who I haven't been contacted by yet, and make them

address my concerns, and once that's done, I'll be better equipped to make an informed decision. Intermountain Health has been so wonderful with my brother, every step of the way, so I'll see if they can live up to that with my mother. Thank you all again for being here for me.

They are putting so much pressure on me. They obviously want mum out of the hospital and into hospice, and think giving me a day to turn her room into a hospital room is a ok.

tomorrow. No! I can't do everything in a day. I slept for 4 hours, then Nin and spent the rest of the day hauling out her queen bed, the mattress, all of it, by ourselves. Replaced it with a twin, new mattress.

And because I'm told I'm expected to stay in the room 24 hours a day with her, we have to put another bed in tomorrow for me to sleep on. I'm about to lose my mind. Now I'm at work, and have to start all over tomorrow getting things ready. Then a couple hours sleep, back to work.

A little bit of hedgehog love this morning. It's really wet here this morning. I hope that the hogs are safe and well out there. 🦔♥️

I spoke to my brother this morning and told him about mum. I called his nurse first so he knew I was going to. I'm trying to get furniture moved, and cleaning done for hospice, cus the hospital seems really eager to kick mum out. But, I have to work tonight, so time for sleep.

I have to call my brother tonight. Breaks my heart he'll probably never see his mother again, that when he walked out the door in July, thinking he had the flu... He didn't even say goodbye when he left the house, because she was asleep.

Spoke to her doctor this morning. They're still trying to figure out what's wrong, and treat her, but he said I should start considering hospice and end of life plans. The palliative care people called and I have to speak with them this afternoon.

He said that they hope to move him to an acute care facility next week. And that he would talk to the case manager/social worker to see if it was possible for him to come somewhere in Southern Utah. I said I was told we didn't have adequate facilities here, and that's why the

move up there. He said that the case manager can also get with St George hospital to find out mum's status. As far as telling him, I said I'd wait till I know something more definitive when test results come in.

If you could please pray for me. I don't know how much more I can bear. I'm overwhelmed, and I can't deal with anything else. One more thing, and I'm going to shatter.
