An Ocean Blessing! A Paper Pirates update today adds a new optional rule.
Enable The Ocean's Blessing in a custom voyage and pirates won't be able to vote for whoever last went overboard.
This softens the blow of going overboard and is perfect when your crew isn't so cutthroat.
