This morning I made one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make…
The past 3 months of growth @Neuroptima has left us in a predicament.
We don’t have enough cash on hand to cover our overhead + marketing and purchase enough inventory to guarantee we can make it through BFCM without selling out.
My options:
- Don’t buy the inventory and risk selling out over BFCM
- Turn off all marketing spend for the next month to buy the inventory
- Get a line of credit with a predatory interest rate
- Drain my personal savings to purchase the inventory + keep chugging ahead at full steam
So… I did what any delusional optimist would do and drained my savings to purchase the most inventory we’ve ever had 2x.
Let’s ride.
(P.S. please buy Flowstate I’m broke😭)

The Fruit Fly can play axle on controller
I trained all 166,700 neurons in the MaleCNS v1.0 fruit fly connectome to play Axle in Apex Legends, using YOLOv5 plus video pretraining.
With aim assist enabled, most of the neurons were unnecessary. #ApexLegends

Tempe has turned off its Flock automated license plate reader system and will end its contract with the company. The cameras are no longer collecting license plate data, and Tempe will not seek another company to replace the system.
While the cameras have helped Tempe Police solve crimes, recent misuse of automated license plate reader systems in Arizona and nationwide has raised concerns about the risks that come with the technology.
Tempe Police has found no misuse of its own Flock system.
Flock will remove its cameras, and previously collected data will be automatically deleted after 30 days unless it is connected to an ongoing case or investigation.
Read through the slides to learn more about the decision and what it means for Tempe.

One man asked 53 times to see what the cameras saw.
They said no.
He walked away with $300,000 dollars
and a ruling that the images are public.

The AI surveillance company Flock has installed nearly 100,000 cameras across America to track your every movement.
Going to the doctor? Flock knows.
Dropping your kid off at school? Flock is tracking you.
Flock is always watching.
STOP AI MASS SURVEILLANCE. STOP FLOCK.

"Flock cameras only take a picture of the back of your car. They do not track vehicles."
... until you click the "START REAL-TIME ROUTING" button to "help identify where vehicles are traveling in between our various Falcon cameras placed throughout the community."

I’ll soon be sponsoring a bill to withhold federal money from municipalities and police departments that deploy Flock (and other style) cameras to surveil law abiding citizens.

I don’t think many of you realize just how unhealthy your addiction to Siege has become. So many of you constantly complain about the state of the game, even though you know there will never be a real solution. It’s led a lot of you into a delusional mindset, where you’re holding onto something that simply can’t be saved.
Just let the game go. Put your time and energy into something you can actually control instead of trapping yourself in an endless cycle of frustration and anger over something that’s completely out of your hands.

🚨 Police showed up at her door with Flock camera “proof” she stole a package.
She had timestamped video from her truck + neighbor’s doorbell proving she wasn’t even there.
Cop refused to watch it: “That’s not my job.”
Charges dropped only after weeks of fighting.
This is the surveillance state. Guilty until you prove your own innocence. 😱
