I want to clear up a few concerns and explain my side of the situation, because there’s a lot that people don’t know.
I confided in a couple of friends about what happened, and somehow, that information made its way to my ex. He reached out to me personally asking what had happened, and I briefly explained. However, given our past and our own personal issues, he wasn’t someone I felt entirely comfortable opening up to about my full experience. Despite that, he took the little information he had, along with what he had heard from others who weren’t even there, and decided to speak on the situation publicly on Twitter. I had asked him to wait because there was so much more to the story that he didn’t know, but he chose to speak on it before I was ready or comfortable sharing it.
I never intended for this situation to become public. I have my own life, struggles, and responsibilities outside of what happened to handle, and at the time, I was simply trying to move forward. Looking back, the thought that things could have ended up so much worse genuinely makes my stomach turn. I think part of me was avoiding the situation because I didn’t know how to process it, and I wanted to focus on my life rather than relive something I wasn’t ready to confront.
At the time, I was under the impression that only a kiss had happened that wasn’t supposed to, and that he was acting l weird, which was why he had been kicked out. I was told that my teammates had explained what happened to me the following morning, but I genuinely have no recollection of those conversations. I only remember being told to be careful. I was still really out of it the day following the incident, so I didnt understand the full extent of what had taken place.
It wasn’t until weeks later that Chemere messaged me and asked if I remembered what Iconz had done. I didn’t. As she began explaining the details to me, my heart sank. I felt scared, confused, and overwhelmed as I tried to process what I was being told and come to terms with something I hadn’t fully understood until that moment.
It’s hard to explain what it feels like to be told something so serious happened to you when you have no recollection of it yourself. Having to process that weeks after the fact was frightening enough without the situation becoming public before I was ready to speak about it.
I’m sharing this now because I want to clarify my side of the story, not because I ever wanted this to become public. There is so much more to this situation than what people have heard, and I don’t think it’s fair for anyone to form conclusions based on incomplete information. This is something I’m still trying to process, and I ask that people approach it with understanding rather than assumptions.
