Well done to club coach, Alex Bogen who has successfully completed the England Boxing 5 Pillars Coaching Project! He finished up his 2nd weekend in @ EIS Sheffield yesterday. The 5 Pillars Coaching project is a performance-led coach programme designed to bridge the gap between grassroots club such as ourselves and the England Boxing performance pathway. At Islington Boxing Club, we believe that development isn’t just for the boxers stepping into the ring. It’s equally important that our coaches continue to learn, improve and develop their knowledge. 👏 Well done, Alex 🔴⚪️🥊

It is with the greatest sadness that we announce the passing of IBC’s beloved ‘Marvellous’ Marvin… 🐈‍⬛ Marvin was adopted by IBC in 2018 and lived at the gym until his retirement in 2024… from here, he was living his best life with Sarah (long standing IBC member) until his passing in 2026. Many will remember Marvin wondering around the gym, sleeping in the ring whilst boxers were sparring, laying in the sun in the car park and venturing into the local shops, schools and peoples houses! All of us at IBC are so heartbroken and are also sending our love and thanks to Sarah♥️
