Isleham United

A tough game on a difficult pitch with the winner coming from the penalty spot. 0-1 ⚽️Nic Baynes

Our Vets set the alarm early to make the short trip to play Buckden Vets in Vets Division 2 league action this morning. With 4 games this month a good start is needed.

Final game of the weekend and probably the most entertaining and evenly contested. Our Vets lost 2-1 to @MHallTownVetsFC. 1-0 down until the later stages a penalty by Nick Baynes brought us level only for a very late direct free kick sealed it for the hosts.

Reserves travelled to Teversham to play Kennett Res who were top of the league and scoring for fun. First we realised not enough shorts in kit, they’d been put in with the vets, Ref got lost and kick off 20m late, 14 players down to 10 through injury and someone off to work. L4-0

Even Trump would struggle to put a positive spin on our 1st Team performance on Saturday. Yes we was missing players through injury and availability but 0-1 (30s), 0-3 (6m), 1-6 (HT), missed penalty 2nd half, 1-8 final score. 2nd half better we created chances. ⚽️Jamie Underwood
