I’ve never been a fan of any of the alternate endings, I think the one they went with was perfect. The other ones just come off as off-putting and weird, the characters definitively being eaten is kind of a downer. The final ending at least keeps it open-ended in a cartoony way

I got to be honest, I did not like the new Shanghaied endings (though Spongebob's new one was very funny), but nothing will ever compare to the original ending 25 years ago, which was very good and hilarious and I will always love it.

And don’t even get me started on the archived recordings, the idea of the characters actually dying is a bit ghoulish. I’d rather have heard the uncensored recordings for Sailor Mouth

Ok I legit need to ask, what is the appeal of Alvin and the Chipmunks, especially today? This just seems like a franchise that should’ve died years ago

Former Nickelodeon and Paramount CEO Brian Robbins has acquired a 25% stake in Bagdasarian Productions, the company behind ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks.’ He plans to revive the franchise through short-form social media content as a launchpad for a new movie expected in late 2028.
