Yesterday the president of Loyola university called Isaac and I to tell us that we are receiving honorary degrees from Loyola! He called us fireman because we run towards the fire instead of retreating. I thought that was one of the kindest compliments I’ve ever received! 💜

We are bracing for a storm that if it comes I don’t think the American people are prepared for. Do some abuse the system, yes. Most do not. Help us ramp up for the holidays if you can.
Things are hard for everyone. With the gov. shutdown continuing, states are now telling food insecure families not to expect their SNAP or EBT benefits for the month of Nov. Hunger in N.O. will explode even further. We will help as many as we can. 🌻
