Heartening news out of Germany. Proctorio has lost a major client. @TU_Muenchen (whose logo used to be on Proctorio's website) announces that "the exam option "proctoring with Proctorio" is no longer available". They guarantee a face-to-face alternative. prolehre.tum.de/en/prolehre/…

Teaching with McGraw-Hill Connect this Fall? Don't be a Proctorio professor. Call your bookstore and ask them to remove "Proctorio Plus" from your textbook. This will save your students $15 each, spare them from warrantless academic surveillance, and earn their trust.

Education used to be a public good, and open is a more sustainable way to do it. It's a disgrace when politics interferes in this way. Know that you are not alone - we have our fare share of short sighted radical interference here in NZ. Wishing AU a successful public campaign.
