Here is the reframe that makes the entire gold trade click into place, and it has fuck all to do with the war.
Ask yourself why central banks piled into gold in the first place. Not because they woke up one morning in love with a shiny yellow rock that pays you nothing. Because gold is the one reserve asset that is nobody else's liability. It cannot be printed by some government desperate to inflate its debt away, and it cannot be frozen by a government you happened to annoy.
The moment the West froze Russia's reserves, every non-Western central bank looked at its own pile of dollars and quietly thought, right, what happens to mine if I am next on the list. Gold is the answer to that question.
That is not a trade, it is a re rating of what gold is for, and it is why the official sector hoovered up more than a thousand tonnes a year for three years running and shoved the euro into third place as a reserve asset.
The price is high because the world is slowly relearning that the only money nobody else can touch is the money sitting in your own vault. That buyer does not check the real yield, and it could not care less what the strait is doing this morning.
Structural. And early.

For thousands of years, babies slept with their mothers. When they cried, they were attended to. Then two men came along: Dr. Holt and John B. Watson. They said babies should be trained. That babies had to fit the assembly line schedules of their parents. "Newborns must cry to expand their lungs," they claimed. "Simply let them cry it out." And that's how the "cry it out" sleep training method was born. Watson treated babies like experiments. "Never hug or kiss your child," he wrote. "Shake hands with them in the morning." After all, mothers needed rest, to attend to their husbands and households. Watson had four children. Three attempted suicide. One succeeded. And we still follow it today. Because once you convince a mother to ignore her baby's cries, you've broken something primal.

“The 24 hours of travel no doubt has her rushing to shower. “
What did I just read...
It’s been 19 days and 20 hrs since I last felt Kate’s warm embrace. She landed 47 minutes ago. The 24 hours of travel no doubt has her rushing to shower. She needs to cleanse herself of a dirtied world incompatible with her sensibilities. The wash doubles as a ritual, preparatory for entrance into the symbolic world we’ve constructed.
The time apart has been costly. My body’s electrical signaling betrays the separation. Without her touch, my vagus nerve’s 100,000 myelinated fibers have dropped their high frequency spectral power, squawking distress. An intelligent system broadcasting diminished wave forms, hoping to be heard. There are other signals of distress.
My white blood cells have shifted their gene expression, upregulating pro-inflammatory genes IL-6 and TNF-alpha and downregulating my antiviral genes. A pro-aging biochemical signature of a system suffering hardship.
My environment is a pristine anti-aging laboratory. Air, water, food and light are meticulously measured. Toxins are filtered. Purification systems run autonomously. Biomarkers tracked. Nutrition is calibrated.
Yet outside my control is the affection of another. The 68 trillion cells that constitute Bryan Johnson run non-negotiable code. They demand tenderness, and not of a whimsical type, but deep, all-encompassing love that must be earned and carefully maintained. Otherwise they protest in self-termination.
She’s now only 13 miles away and I can viscerally feel her essence. The transmission pulses in high fidelity. As if there were a fiber optic cable streaming our connection at light speed through the multiplexed cylinders of glass. The time apart created latency, buffering the connection, depriving us of the luminescence and dimming into noise.
In 15 minutes she will be within reach. I can visualize the whites of her eyes and smell her aroma. When she arrives, she will be shy. Whenever we are apart, she returns to zero. Her previous openness will be closed. Her emotional dynamic range will be held in reserve until she feels she is safe and can trust. I’ll need to kindle her again. The rush of the courtship enthralls me.
The anticipation drives a small cluster of my midbrain neurons to flood dopamine. Nerve fibers activate, lighting up my skin’s receptors as it awaits for slow, caressing touch. My hypothalamus begins synthesizing oxytocin, preparing to dump it upon first eye contact to ensure the reestablishment of our pair bond. This biochemical orchestra fills me with delight and sensorial want.
Kate’s been mulling over what she’ll wear for days. She’s considered dozens of possibilities and modeled out my anticipated emotional state, the weather, and our planned activities. The colors will be representative of her psychological state and be positioned to soothe mine. The texture, style, and hues will interplay with our biology. The deliberately chosen accessories will add flair, intrigue and play. This is how she flirts, seduces and bypasses my mind to speak directly to my physiology. She has other tricks too.
She’s arrived. I must wait for her. Her timidness will want to determine the cadence. I hear the door crack open and her bag drop to the floor. She’s nervous. I’m on the couch, neutral and open. She rounds the corner and our eyes meet. The inhibitions wither as the magnetism draws us together. Soft hellos are whispered and our bodies interdigitate.
I feel her finger tips on the back of my neck. Goose bumps light up my body. Skin nerve cells fire signals directly to my brain, bypassing the analytical mind. The hypothalamus dumps the oxytocin, inhibiting fear and lowering cortisol. The body washes itself in this anti-inflammatory chain reaction. Our respiration and heart beats are now synchronizing. The brain piles on with a release of endorphins to soothe the psychological pain of our separation. New powers are now in control. Let them run in glory.
I press my cheek against hers. The skin on skin triggers a wave of desire. I brush her lips with mine, catalyzing a massive activation of neurons in her brain, overwhelming thought and forcing presence.
She relents and wants to dance. She’s home.
I slip my hand under her shirt and brush the small of her back. Goosebumps spread like a wildfire across her body. Her hypothalamus stimulates the release of GnRH which tells the pituitary gland to wake up her reproductive system. Our olfactory systems consume each other with delight, signaling immune system compatibility.
I move both my hands to her jawline, holding her head firmly in place. Our mirror neurons speak to each other. I know what she wants. My lips press against hers and I softly bite her lower lip. Kate’s blood vessels dilate from the acetylcholine and nitric oxide release, flushing her lips, skin and body. The cascade is nearing waterfall.
The executive control of our brains surrenders. No longer concerned with the 68 trillion cells. The prefrontal cortex goes dark. Eliminating future planning and probabilistic modeling. Activity in our parietal lobes diminishes, dissolving the boundary that distinguishes between self and other. No longer is there Kate and Bryan, just a singular biological entity suspended in a state of bliss. The outside world goes quiet. It doesn’t exist. We dissolve into raw existence.

People will always show you who they are - you simply have to look.
This applies to everyone: partners, friends, enemies…even crypto founders.
The signs are always there. We just tend to ignore them.
Why? Because humans are wired for hope.
We project our own intentions onto others, assuming they see the world through the same lens of honesty or loyalty we do. We dismiss the red flags, rationalize inconsistencies, and convince ourselves that “maybe they didn’t mean it that way.”
But they did. They always do.
Pattern recognition isn’t hard - emotional attachment is what blinds us. The more we want someone (or something) to be good, the more we rewrite the existing data in our own minds.
So if you want to save yourself years of wasted energy and heartache: start accepting what people have already shown you they are.

Bitcoin - The Calm Phase of the Cycle
Every major BTC rally begins the same way: volatility contracts before expansion.
Right now, Bollinger Bands around the 34 EMA are tightening, which is a signal of energy building up in the system.
At the same time, downside momentum is losing steam (MACD histogram divergence).
We call this a contraction phase, volatility compresses, emotions cool, and positioning resets before the next directional phase.
The takeaway: Don’t mistake quiet for weakness.
Compression is often the market’s way of reloading before volatility returns.

Probably one of the most severe flushes I’ve ever seen on alts, I didn’t even imagine alts had this much leverage in them. It feels like someone got hit very hard and will see a large body float to the surface soon, reminds me a little of summer 2021.
Good reminder to myself to own things that I am actually bullish on, and not things I am trying to shift on momentum. Some charts look like they’ll never recover, whereas some things look buyable for the first time in a while.
When everyone is making hilarious amounts of money I am always tempted to start using leverage again. It is almost impossible to fight the feeling that you’re not making enough, or everyone else is outpacing you. Good reminder that fighting that feeling and avoid the wipeouts is worth it in the end.
Check on your friends, likely a bad day for many.
Personally, am concentrating my bags into the things I am happy to own for the next few years, and shedding the fat. Realised I own some assets based on not wanting to miss out, rather than on some actual thesis. Days like today are much easier for me if I think my bags will bounce back, and much worse if I’m losing money owning things I don’t even believe in.
Don’t let a leverage blowup dictate your long-term views. The future is bright, good things to come, patience is rewarded.

$PENDLE latest yield curves tell us how the market values flexibility vs. predictability and where capital is making its macro bets.
The divergence between stablecoin and ETH curves says alot about is more about opportunity cost, structural scarcity, and forward expectations.
3 things I would look at in this market👇
1. Stablecoins: Liquidity as a Call Option on the Future
Stablecoin yields spike in the 31–60 day range (~12% APY) but decay rapidly after. Liquidity concentration in short maturities reflects a belief that the next high-yield opportunity is always imminent.
The underlying signal:
• Abundant short-term catalysts: from incentive programs to new protocol launches, create a dynamic where yield is transient and capital must remain “mobile.”
• The market is effectively pricing yield like a call option: traders are paying (in foregone long-term stability) for the right to pivot instantly when the next airdrop, farm, or liquidity appears.
In TradFi, you see this in emerging markets with unstable rate, investors won’t lock duration when the opportunity curve is steep but volatile.
2. ETH: Locking Against Yield Scarcity
ETH yields are flatter, peaking at ~5% APY in 31–60 days and holding steady out to 120+ days. Long-end liquidity exists because the ETH yield market has a structural ceiling: staking rewards (~3%) set the base, and few protocols can sustainably offer materially higher rates.
The underlying signal:
• ETH holders aren’t chasing dozens of high-yield rotations: there aren’t enough of them.
• Locking 4–5% for months is rational when upside surprise is low and principal asset appreciation is the larger bet.
This mirrors corporate treasury behavior in low-rate environments. when the opportunity set is thin, even marginally higher long-term rates are worth locking.
3. Diverging Risk & Liquidity Premiums
What we’re really seeing is two markets pricing time risk differently:
• Stablecoins: Time is expensive, locking capital costs too much optionality.
• ETH: Time is cheap, the upside from flexibility is low enough that predictability has a higher marginal value.
This split has second-order effects:
• Stablecoin farming is increasingly competitive, protocols must keep yields refreshed to avoid liquidity flight.
• ETH yield products can attract “sticky” capital, predictability is itself a competitive moat.
Bottom Line:
@pendle_fi curves are a live dashboard of DeFi’s liquidity psychology. Stablecoin markets are playing a short-dated options game, while ETH markets are making longer-term fixed-income bets in an ecosystem where the rate ceiling is known.
That divergence is both a reflection of current market structure and a predictor of where capital will and won’t stick in the next cycle.
Slightly optimistic outlook...

ETH is a new type of asset—which needs a new valuation framework.
Dream bigger.

You’re all just lemmings to the slaughterhouse. You keep playing these stupid games you’ll keep being taken to the woodchipper by these leeches and larps.
You have NO edge, you don’t have the tools, the experience and you don’t have the information flow.
You’re just betting on a number in a roulette table with many, many zeros. Plus the heaviest house rake in town to boost. You’re being farmed nonstop, and idolizing the ones that are squeezing every angle shoot possible outta you. You’re giving a new meaning to Stockholm Syndrome.
And no this is not a feel good post. Cause ultimately, it’s on you you stupid fuck. You are the one clicking the buy and sell button. You know damn well what game you’re playing. You are the one too lazy to actually find something valuable, or at least fun, to hold on to for more than an hour for fuck’s sake. And then you point your finger and yell your lack of responsability into the void.
You wanna play slot machines? Fine, go ahead. I’m more than blackjack type, but simetimes I like to gamble too. But don’t come crying when you get rinsed for 40 cents of every dollar you play, over and over again until you hit zero. You deserved it.
The only silver lining of this financially nihilistic bullshit crescendo, these faster and faster crack fueled rotations into this absolute and utter trash is that it will speedrun this whole “meta” to it’s inevitable zero. Then we can go back to actually care about something, if just a flimsy and vague idea of what that looks like.
Almost there.
