🎤 The 2nd annual Giovanni Trabaci Festival in Irsina is this weekend and Culture Ireland are delighted to support Sharon Carty's performance there ✨
Sharon is an Irish mezzo-soprano and she has firmly established a reputation as a respected interpreter of both early and contemporary works. She also has a busy schedule in mainstream opera and concert repertoire.
The Gio: Maria Trabaci Baroque Music Festival aims to highlight the figure and work of Giovanni Maria Trabaci, born in Montepeloso, now Irsina, around 1580. He was a prolific organist and composer, and choirmaster at the court of Naples, the first Italian, after a succession of Spanish and Franco-Flemish masters.
