Trump wants to paint Washington, D.C.’s historic Eisenhower Executive Office Building white. The landmark, completed in 1888, currently has a gray granite exterior. The proposal has not received final approval, but a federal judge has allowed limited paint tests on small, less-visible sections of the building.

HUGE: Autozone workers just won the first ever union at the company.
Despite Autozone spending an estimated $210,696 and using every tactic in the book to stop just 11 workers from forming a union, the small shop in New York chose to unionize today.

A major U.S. 395 rehabilitation project is getting underway in Lee Vining. Construction begins September 28 on the approximately $30 million project, including pavement, drainage, sidewalk, water, and sewer improvements.
The project is backed by $26.24 million from the federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and $3.52 million from California’s SB 1 transportation funding program.
“In the end, we’ll get a lot more inviting, safer streetscape, and I think many people are excited about that,” said Bartshe Miller, Eastern Sierra policy director for the Mono Lake Committee.
He described Lee Vining as “a town that grew around the highway and the highway adjusted through the town.”
