In advance of our 2025 edition of Ireland's Edge, we stepping away from this platform. You can still keep up to date with all things Ireland's Edge on our Bluesky, Instagram, Facebook and our website. Sonas oraibh.

Packed house here for the final part of Ireland's Edge at @OtherVoicesLive 2024. We are so honoured to have renowned international human rights barrister, Blinne Ni Ghralaigh KC with us in West Kerry. Blinne is here to speak with Prof. David Kenny about her life and career and about human rights, international law and the pursuit of justice.

Up next we have Kevin Bakhurst discussing the state of public service media and the future of RTÉ in the context of a rapidly changing environment.

On stage now is Joshua Richards of @ForensicArchi, in conversation with @UnaMullally on the forensics and aesthetics of evidence and his organisation’s investigation of state and corporate violence.

We're back after lunch with a really insightful exchange between @ellamcsweeney , @O_Heffernan, Aodh Ó Domhnaill and @ChrisKissane on national parks, fishing and sustainability.

Fíor-bhródúil as an gcomhrá spreagúil seo idir @sexytadhg , @EdelLovett1 , @doireannnighlac agus Billy Mag Fhloinn, á stiúradh go hiomlán trí Ghaeilge, agus cluasáin aistriúcháin bheo ar fáil don lucht éisteachta de réir mar is gá.

We had a fantastic start to Ireland's Edge yesterday. A huge thanks to everyone who came down and to all of our speakers who brought their insight and expertise to such important discussions. We're up and running with more of the same here, with another day of phenomenal speakers and performers at the @DingleSkellig ahead. Bígí linn a chairde.

It's Not Easy Being Green: For our last discussion of the day @ChrisKissane talks to @EamonRyan about the progress and problems of green politics in Ireland today.

On Now: A Tangled Web - how can we protect our public discourse, and our societies, from the toxic influences of the rising far-right messaging in Ireland and around the world, especially when social media algorithms continue to amplify them?

We're live! We are delighted to kick Ireland's Edge at @OtherVoicesLive 2024 off with this fascinating discussion between @carolecadwalla, @DonnachaDCU, @Hannahmc_carthy and John Naughton. A fantastic weekend ahead.
