Fantastic speaker and great Professor to learn from.

The world needs more than one story. This forum will continue as a living platform. Thank you for being with us at this beginning. #WDF2026
It was such an honour to attend the @wdecolonization day event in Istanbul. An opportunity to challenge the dominant narratives and listen to the silenced voices. Where rewriting the script was on the menu. To listen to 'more than one story.' #worlddecolonizationforum
Over the weekend, Epsom and Ewell Islamic Centre was targeted with Islamophobic graffiti.
And last year, the centre was attacked twice by vandals.
Members of the congregation reported a significant increase in racist abuse.
If you live in the area, do get in touch.

Thank you @The_GA for the opportunity to present, I decided to do what all geographers end up doing, exploring! So, this time I took advantage of being near Cumbria and visited the Lake District.

I met some students on a bus...deciding whether or not to choose geography GCSE. I listened to them. One student said 'I wish we could have a say in what we learn in subjects like #geography,' I said GCSE and A level kick start your thinking - later there's so much more.
Delighted to author a chapter in ‘What is geography teaching, now?’ For those who know me, I can't help but tell you a deep story related to geography! Thank you to @GeogMum @Jennnnnn_x for bringing in new voices and daring to make space for decolonial teachers.

It is the day of Arafat. El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz: "There are Muslims here of all colors and from every part of this earth. During the past days here in Mecca (Jeddah, Mina, and Mustalipha) while understanding the rituals of the Hajj...
... I could look into their blue eyes and see that they regarded me as the same (Brothers), because their faith in One God (Allah) had actually removed “white” from their mind, which automatically changed their attitude and their behavior (towards) people of other colors."
"It has come to a point where mutual respect and understanding is critical to our humanitarian survival, where plural paradigms must find al-Mizān with which to live."
