🔐 CYBERSECURITY AWARENESS MONTH
Cybersecurity Is Everyone's Responsibilit
You don't have to be a expert to protect yourself online.
Every day, we use technology to communicate, work, study, and shop. But every digital activity can also create an opportunity for cybercriminals.

Our MD @IrSadrah joined a powerful panel this week, sharing a key truth: technology can drive innovation, create opportunities, and scale solutions across Africa—but only if we start by understanding the real challenges in our communities.
Build with purpose. Solve what matters.

Taught by the people who built it.
Free. No registration. No paywall.

Minister Utumatwishima called on young people to become the next generation of scientists, engineers, researchers, and innovators who will drive Africa’s transformation. “Africa must not only consume science developed elsewhere; Africa must also produce theirs.” #NEISA2026
During the youth-focused discussions at #NEISA2026, Hon. Dr. Utumatwishima Jean Nepo Abdallah, Minister of Youth and Arts, Rwanda, emphasized the urgent need for Africa to accelerate investment in science, innovation, and advanced technologies that can transform lives across the continent.
Reflecting on his experience in medical research and healthcare, he highlighted how nuclear science is already improving diagnostics, cancer treatment, and medical innovation — while calling on young Africans to actively participate in shaping the continent’s scientific and technological future.
“Science humbled me. It showed me how much more is possible when countries invest in advanced technologies, research, and innovation that directly improve people’s lives.”

DEAR FRIEND, VALUE YOUR PERSONAL DATA!
You have the right to:
• Know how your data is used
• Access your personal data
• Request correction or deletion
• Object to misuse
Your rights matter. #RindaAmakuruYanjye @DPORwanda @RwandaICT @Cybersec_Rwanda #rwot #DataProtection

Data shared without clear contracts is data at risk.
Processing agreements define who can access data, how it is used, how it is secured, and who is accountable if something goes wrong.
Strong contracts protect the data subject—and they protect the organization.
Compliance requires clarity before data ever leaves your system.

Your organization didn’t stop evolving.
So why would your compliance?
Teams change. Systems change. Data flows change.
Keeping your registration up to date is how compliance stays credible, not just remembered.

Privacy starts with awareness.
Every time your personal data is collected, you are the data subject — and your rights matter.
You have the right to know how your data is used, access it, correct or delete it, and object to misuse.

Compliance is not a document. It is not a one-time registration.
It is how organizations collect, store, share, and protect people’s data—every day.
This week will introduce the reality of compliance:
that behind every database are real people, and behind every decision is responsibility.
Data protection is not optional. It is a duty of trust.
Watch. Reflect. Commit to doing the right thing.

H.E. @PaulKagame recently at @UnityClubRw #18 asked why #Africa still lags behind. The answer may lie in our lost sense of purpose — our WHY. Because no matter the WHAT (ACTIONS) you do, your WHY (PURPOSE) defines your results. #Purpose #Leadership #RwOT #rwox #PK
