1/2 Great to have been involved in two clusters of the #BewareOfAliens awareness campaign developing key messages for key audiences with @atusligo_ie @UK_CEH and @adelphi_berlin. Fantastic resources including including this short video on soil borne #invasivealienspecies produced
#Invasive species can do serious damage to our waterways and to the quality of angling. Good #biosecurity is essential to stop the spread. Please like and share to spread the word, not the invasives! :-)

Fantastic for @CERIS_ATUSligo to have been a lead partner on this project with @UK_CEH. Multiple sectoral teams across the EU will work to disseminate our co-created IAS materials. Positive spread for once! Also thanks to @Secretariat_IAS
Invasive alien species drive #biodiversity loss but concerted action can manage their spread & impact.
We're working with sectors across Europe to raise awareness:
🦐 Aquatic ornamentals & recreation
🌳 Forests
🦝 Pets
🛻 Soil transport

Our own Darren Garland beaming in to #ICAIS2022 all the way from Sligo, discussing elodea control measures on Lough Arrow. Great work, in conjunction with local anglers and IFI amongst others.
