Carla Leite’s second year shooting leap has been one of the most impressive stories of this #WNBA season.
After shooting 17.7% from 3 (2.0 3PA) last season for the Golden State Valkyries, she’s shooting 40% from 3 (2.4 3PA). Her shooting percentages are up across the board!🔥

If Iyana Martín can reach her ceiling for the Portland Fire she can end up being a Becky Hammon 2.0 in the #WNBA. The key will be her shooting being elite. Becky Hammon at her peak was 2nd in MVP voting.

Final: Portland Fire 101, Atlanta Dream 83.
The Fire win the game and the season series vs the Dream. What a great accomplishment for a young expansion team as they get another win vs a playoff team. Portland have now won season series over two playoff teams, Atlanta and New York!🔥
The Seattle Storm beating the Toronto Tempo last night impacts the Portland Fire in the draft standings. With only a few games left for the Fire, Storm and Sparks, it’s coming down to the wire on who lands where in the #WNBA draft standings.
Fire schedule - ATL, GSV, PHX, GSV, LAS, GSV
Storm schedule - LAS, LV, GSV, LV, DAL
Sparks schedule - WAS, SEA, DAL, PDX, LV, GSV
I think there most likely ends up being no change in the standings from now until the end of the season but it’s something to monitor!

Portland Fire pick 2 players in my top 15. I know a lot of people will be upset since they aren’t too familiar with her, but I’m super excited about these picks!
With WNBA Draft later tonight, here’s my final mock draft!
It’s a mixture of what I’d do and predictions of what I think each team will do. Free agency obviously changed a lot of things, but I’m excited to see how it plays out!
