Can you tell the class one instance in which Bola Tinubu has demonstrated this “political will to make decisions and stand by them”, and how that decision has positively affected the common man in terms of security, the economy, purchasing power and electricity?
Replying to @freakyfemi1 @Intrepidtoju
Never stop holding your government accountable. It is our fundamental right and duty as citizens.
But blind accountability belongs in the waste bin.
Jonathan was a good president but lacked the political will to make and stand by his decisions.
Removing the fuel subsidy was right for the country, yet he couldn't withstand the opposition. President Bola Ahmed did.
Jonathan did the right thing as president but, as a politician, couldn't stand by his decisions, even the right ones.
Even if President Bola Ahmed protested against him during the Occupy Nigeria protest back then, Jonathan had the power to keep the nation in check but couldn't.
I cannot fault a man for being a good opposition.
Do you have any idea how many pipelines have been vandalised this year alone in oil-producing states, especially Delta State?
Replying to @Intrepidtoju
That is practically impossible. You’re suggesting that one person should simultaneously perform the responsibilities of the President, 36 state governors, the FCT administration and 774 local government councils.
That is highly counterproductive.
It is like expecting Donald Trump to function as President, every state governor and every city mayor in America.
Nigeria is too large, diverse and economically complex for that.
The buck stops at the President’s table for federal responsibilities, not every responsibility across all tiers of government. That is the essence of federalism.
Regarding Rivers State, there were identifiable grounds for federal intervention, including pipeline vandalism, threats to critical national infrastructure and the political crisis.
Whether those circumstances justified the declaration and subsequent suspension is open to constitutional debate, but the security concerns cannot simply be dismissed.
Presidential responsibility for national security does not make the President responsible for every failure of state and local governance.
One of the beautiful expressions of Nigerian food culture is the tradition of taking your own food flask or plate to a restaurant to buy food. Sometimes you can even wash your flask there.
When did we abandon this practice, and what changed?
This restaurant I regularly buy food from charges 800 naira for one regular black takeaway pack. I always thought these packs cost 150 or 200 at most, so I was shocked when I discovered the price.
Earlier this week, I bought six different packs of food and realised I had paid almost 5k for takeaway packs alone. Packs I threw in the bin almost immediately I got home. It just didn’t make sense to me.
I reached out to management and asked if I could bring my own food flasks. They said no. I replied that it was fine, but I wouldn’t be buying food from them again.
Guess who called back to say I could bring my own flasks?🤣😅
How do you put feminism and “emancipates both sexes” in the same sentence?
Feminism is a movement centred on the liberation of women abi una done change the meaning?

Couldn't help but notice the recent UI changes made by the Twitter (X) team. Quite impressive, I must say.
