Ditto.
Plus, like, plans and money and urgency and stuff that we haven’t had.
My @WSJ op ed. Staying ahead of Covid will require constant action - a surveillance system capable of sequencing at scale to identify variants, and a regulatory framework that allows drugs and vaccines to undergo adaptation to keep current with new strains wsj.com/articles/a-light-reg…

Wow, Perseverance has successfully landed with flying colors! Literally, a decade's worth of hard work has succeeded in its hardest steps. Amazing to watch mission control in action. Such a diversity of age groups, race, sex. Truly America at its best.
Touchdown confirmed. The #CountdownToMars is complete, but the mission is just beginning.

It's a sad statement that so many prescriptions for neuropsychiatric drugs don't start with a pharmacogenetic test. Fail to dose properly and the patient may stop using one of v. few drugs available for the condition. Especially sad for chronic conditions.
We’re making it easy for psychiatrists and their patients to learn about pharmacogenomic (PGx) testing (physician-ordered). Our website now includes dedicated patient education, such as a PGx overview and what to expect from the sample collection process: tempus.co/2MixgVz.

Perfect application of a great CA-developed platform.
Millions of Californians will turn to Salesforce’s “My Turn” a new site for Covid-19 vaccinations that will allow residents to learn when they are eligible & find a place to make an appointment. It also will provide a way to track vaccination data. bizjournals.com/sanfrancisco…
Obama unity: Maybe if I'm nice to the Republicans and include lots of tax cuts in my stimulus and do a health care plan based on Heritage Foundation ideas, the GOP will be sensible and do the right thing for the country Biden unity:

Humph, you see lots of papers using the "4-point Hardy scale of death classification", yet I cannot find a reference for its source, aargh.
Now *this* is cool (Disclaimer: I'll be working for Tempus starting Friday)
The next step in healthcare AI is here. Introducing Tempus ONE, a portable voice-enabled smart device that shares clinical insights and data from Tempus’ genomic reports to oncologists in real-time. Discover ONE, in beta today and launching broadly 2021: tempus.co/TempusONE.

It occurs to me that Agent Orange shares a lot with God Emperor of Dune: 1) He's a (large) worm; 2) most everything about him was a lie; 3) he taught humans a lesson. google.com/url?sa=i&url=http…

Fabulous piece describing the remdesivir saga. Lots and lots of worrisome signals that things aren't quite right with the FDA's approval of the drug. One thing I'm sure about: Remdesivir is clearly not an atom bomb when it comes to Covid-19... sciencemag.org/news/2020/10/…
Well worth attending to access such unique data and analyze it to the fullest!
Happening this Saturday! Sign up through #FOCIS2020 to learn more about what is available in @ImmPortDB #opendata, including CyTOF and flow cytometry, influenza data, and now #COVID19!
Charles, our CEO discusses how ML can accelerate clinical trials. Does a great pedagogical job, as always.
On his latest #HealthTech Podcast, @Forbes contributor @JamesSomauroo discusses the origins of @UnlearnAI, and how Founder and CEO @charleskfisher was inspired to use novel #MachineLearning methods to accelerate #clinicalresearch. #AI apple.co/3ebhOCl
In Alzheimer's, as with other diseases, everything slows down to a crawl when you get to human trials, no matter what the drug/device/diagnostic/prognostic being evaluated. Our approach is a highly pragmatic way of addressing this fundamental issue.
June reflections in the latest @UnlearnAI blog. Even though we are all physically apart right now, we are united in our search for more effective treatments for #Alzheimers. Let’s stand together with conviction to make it happen. #EndAlz @alzassociation bit.ly/2NKIWxc

Lab directors need to take responsibility for code coming out of their lab. This is one great way to do so, especially if you consider a teaching exercise on top of risk mitigation (you don't want to find years later that your code was buggy).
I remember giving @ctitusbrown some grief a few years ago about conducting code reviews for bioinformatics projects. I stand corrected. I am now convinced that they are absolutely fundamental to running a multi-person #bioinformatics lab.

Advice you can use!
If you haven't heard, preprints are now appearing in PubMed (buff.ly/3gf8miV)! While that's probably a good thing, if you want to filter OUT preprints in a search, you will need to add "NOT preprint[PT]", e,g. "Butte AJ [AU] NOT preprint[PT]".
Come on #WendysIsOverParty. Do the right thing. I can't patronize you're evil.
