Hi everyone! Inspired by @Uro_Res, the purpose of this account is to share info on everything Internal Med - rotations, residency apps, IM programs, webinars, resources, etc. Our goal is to build the #futuremedres & #IMproud community of med students, residents, and attendings.
Congratulations to everyone who matched to residency. You have worked hard, now is the time to bask in the moment.
For those who did not match, watch out for tips and available resources. #Match2025 #ResidencyMatch
Welldone @missibukun , we need people advocating for our patients 👏🏾👏🏾
On 03/15/2025, I had the privilege of participating in the Virtual Hill Day, where I engaged with members of Congress to advocate for critical issues affecting our liver disease patients. Thank you @AASLDtweets for this opportunity. #GITwitter #hepatology

I’m still hearing from applicants who got an interview invitation; responded within a few minutes; and were unable to schedule an interview because all the spots were taken.
Just a reminder that, as of this year, this is a Match Violation for programs:

Match rates in 2022, by specialty and applicant educational background (MD, DO, IMG).

ALT Graphic demonstrating match rates by preferred specialty and educational background (DO, MD, IMG) in the 2022 NRMP Match. The highest match rates are in pediatrics, EM, IM, and family medicine; the lowest are in surgical specialties. For all specialties MDs enjoy a higher match rate than DOs, who enjoy a higher match rate than IMGs in all specialties except plastic and vascular surgery.
