Die Berichterstattung über den Klimawandel ist „heiß umkämpft“. Angeblich sind sich ja „99,9 Prozent der Wissenschaftler einig“ (Tagesschau). Was wir wissen und was nicht, erzählt @Axel_Bojanowski in der neuen Folge von "Sachlich richtig", dem Medien-Podcast mit @AnneMuecke69, @welchering und mir.
Bojanowski hat für Geo, Stern, SZ und Zeit geschrieben. Sein Buch „Was Sie schon immer über das Klima wissen wollten, aber nicht zu fragen wagten“ ist ein Bestseller. Darin berichtet er von politisierten Wissenschaftlern, dubiosen Studien und Geldflüssen an Lobbygruppen. Uns sagt er, warum er es nach 10 Jahren nicht mehr beim Spiegel ausgehalten hat und warum er der „Welt“, wo er das Ressort Wissen leitet, dankbar ist.
Es war ein Gespräch über Claas Relotius, das Potsdamer Institut für Klimafolgenforschung und Claudia Kemfert sowie über Ausgrenzung und enger werdende Debattenräume. „Man kann mit Lügen nicht die Wahrheit verteidigen“, so Bojanowski – der regelmäßig von Kollegen angefeindet wird, obwohl er weder die Erdwärmung, noch den Meeresanstieg oder den Anteil des Menschen am Klimawandel leugnet.
