We looked at BFCM 2025 across 853 brands running Intelligems.
There's a point where discounting deeper stops doing anything for you, and it sits lower than you'd expect.
The brands who shaved just a little off did worst of all. Weaker than the ones who went deep, and weaker than the ones who held their price.
The tricky part is that revenue goes up either way, so the discount always looks like it worked. The depth you didn't need to give away never shows up on the dashboard.
Which is how the same number gets picked every year.
