Last month I wrote about how we can build a positive and safe future for everyone: meta.com/thefutureisforevery…
Every lab has the responsibility and incentive to move at the pace required to train its models safely, and the ability to take its own actions to ensure that happens.
The reality is:
- People won't want to use agents that are misaligned with them and that don't do what they ask, so labs have a strong natural incentive to make their models more aligned.
There is a lot of debate about slowing progress on capabilities until alignment catches up. My view is that trust and alignment are quickly becoming the most important capabilities that will differentiate agents and models. Any lab that doesn't focus on alignment will fall behind.
- Labs face significant liability if their models cause harm, so they have a strong incentive to prevent this as well.
Meta delayed shipping Muse for several months to focus on safety and security. We didn't call for everyone else to do this before we would. We just did it as part of our day-to-day work because it was clearly the right thing for people and for us. I'm proud of the security foundations we've built.
- Engaging independent evaluators and advisors is industry best practice. MSL already does this today in several areas because it helps produce better work. Other labs can just do this too. In general, it would be helpful for there to be a larger and more diverse ecosystem of evaluators.
- Committing the significant majority of compute towards serving people rather than racing towards recursive self-improvement is one of the best ways to ensure we develop this technology safely. Meta has made this commitment and other labs can do this as well.
I believe the key to building a positive future for everyone is maintaining the right balance of power. This is within our power to do.
All of the weekend noise on Apocalypse.ai Wait until the coming months and Reflection.ai releases their open weight models….lol
On this solemn day, we remember all of those that we lost on this day 25 years ago. We honor all of the brave souls that ran to their rescue, and willingly sacrificed themselves to help, those that were there to clean up the horrifying mess that followed and the bravest of all who have defended the US since then. On this day all of our lives as Americans changed forever. Some of us will NEVER forget that day but NONE of us ever should! God bless America.
AI shouldn’t just answer questions.
It should understand your business, know your clients, connect your institutional knowledge — and help get the work done.
That’s what we’re building with Intellebox.

I am very excited to welcome Raymond Fernandez and Zana Hrvacic to Intellectus ~ two exceptionally talented leaders with outstanding track records of success.
Ray and Zana will bring complementary strengths to our newly launched Client Engagement team, an important new initiative for Intellectus and another step forward in how we believe the wealth management industry can serve clients.
We are once again pushing the envelope by bringing together our already exceptional Services team, the high-touch experience our clients expect, and the proprietary AI and technology capabilities we have been developing for years.
We call this Human Touch AI: using technology not to put distance between our people and our clients, but to make our people more capable, our engagement more proactive and personalized, and the overall Intellectus experience even better.
Ray brings nearly eight years of experience at ICONIQ, with deep expertise in sophisticated family-office relationships and high-touch client service. Zana brings a powerful combination of wealth management, technology and client engagement experience, most recently helping drive engagement and platform adoption at Arta Finance.
Together, they represent two complementary sides of what we are building: extraordinary human service and next-generation, technology-enabled engagement.
Welcome Ray and Zana. I couldn't be more excited about what we're going to build together.

Italy’s highest court has ruled that people who were Italian citizens from birth do not automatically lose that citizenship if a parent later became a citizen of another country while they were still minors. The decision strengthens certain citizenship-by-descent claims that had previously been denied under the so-called “minor issue,” although Italy’s separate 2025 citizenship law limiting eligibility through more distant generations remains in effect and is not overturned by this ruling.🇮🇹👨🏻⚖️

🚨Huge Update on Our Hero Lifeguard Ryder Williams 16yrs
Ryder says he refused to let go of the child because he knew the boy would almost certainly die if he did
Ryder’s father Shane “I almost started crying because how determined he was to save that boy’s life makes me so proud.”
Shockingly, Ryder made ANOTHER rescue that day under circumstances MORE difficult than the ones seen on the viral clip, pulling 2 more people to safety
Ryder has proven to be extremely humble, stating he doesn’t understand all the attention because he was just doing what anyone else would.
Several bystanders went against policy to help Ryder save the drowning boy, but the surf rebuffed them, and they retreated.
Ryder’s parents attribute his incredible water skills to years of playing intense water polo, where he played the position of hole set, which means constantly fighting off opponents. His parents joked about being uncomfortable “with everyone trying to drown our boy”.
Ryder and his family have been involved to the White House by President Trump, where Ryder will receive a civilian award 🥇

For my first post, I’m sharing a letter @NVIDIA signed on why open models matter.
AI will transform every industry, power every company, and be built by every country.
Open models strengthen safety and cybersecurity, accelerate innovation and diffusion, and enable sovereignty.
The world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models.

Firefighters, Teachers, and Sheriffs Associations all come out against CA Socialist wealth tax Prop 40 promoted by AOC, Bernie & Ro that is driving companies, jobs and revenue out of the state.
Prediction - in 100 days, in a major blow to the national socialist agenda, the CA Wealth Tax Prop 40 will fail by a large margin. CA will also pass the Retirement & Personal Asset Protection Prop 42 as CA voters say enough is enough and choose families over big, failing gov’t tax & spend. 🧐🇺🇸💰
