🇫🇷 “Bismillah, c’est les ténèbres,” roughly translating to “In the name of God, its darkness,” has become a viral slogan at France’s student protests.
The phrase originated in a bizarre Snapchat message allegedly sent by an undercover police officer posing as a student to infiltrate groups organizing school blockades. The message, awkwardly mixing Arabic expressions, French youth slang, and Algerian flag emojis was asking about protest plans.
Students seized on the apparent attempt to imitate them, and have turned the phrase into a meme to mock suspected police infiltration and racial stereotyping. It now appears on protest signs and is chanted at demonstrations. Swedish activist Greta Thunberg also joined in, repeating the slogan during a visit to striking students at a high school outside Paris on October 13. The identity of the sender and police involvement remain unverified.

The source of all this? Posts on X by a US-based Chinese dissident.
Meanwhile, on that very same Monday, Kim was touring a clothing and footwear exhibition in Pyongyang with his wife and daughter, Yonhap reports, citing the Korean Central News Agency.
Maybe next time check something before copy-pasting from a tabloid best known for topless models on page 3.

BIG: The U.S. is sending a third aircraft carrier to the Middle East, a day after Hegseth secretly met Netanyahu at Israel’s Ovda Airbase.
The USS Theodore Roosevelt strike group and the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit are expected to arrive by the end of November.
That adds roughly 10,000 sailors and Marines.
The Roosevelt will join the USS George H.W. Bush and USS George Washington, both now in the Arabian Sea.

For the first time, footage has been published on Iranian channels showing Javad Qarai, a nature documentary maker, with a team, discovering the Iranian Yak-130 pilot whose aircraft was shot down by an Israeli F-35 during the 40-day war.
The pilot was located and found within 2 hours.
The Yak-130 was on patrol over Tehran when it passively detected an aircraft and reported it.
However, because the aircraft was not visible on any radar, it was declared a false identification.
But it was not a false identification. The detected aircraft was an Israeli Air Force F-35I stealth fighter, which Iranian radars were unable to track or identify at that time.
After it was declared a false identification, the pilot chose not to fire.
This gave the Israeli fighter jet the chance to target the Iranian Yak with its 25mm cannon and shot it down.

🇷🇺🇺🇿 Russia and Uzbekistan launch joint military drills near Afghan border
Russian and Uzbek forces have begun joint tactical exercises, Hamkorlik-2026, at the Termez training ground in southern Uzbekistan, focusing on coordinated operations against armed groups in border areas.
Russian units travelled more than 300 km through the mountains of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, navigating steep climbs, descents, and winding mountain roads in BTR-82A armored personnel carriers, Ural trucks, and other military vehicles.
The active phase of the drills runs from October 20 to 27, involving mountain warfare and assault units supported by reconnaissance and strike drones, ground-based robotic systems, and Mi-24 attack helicopters.
According to Russia's Defense Ministry, the two countries will practice detecting and neutralizing small groups of simulated militants in border areas, combining ground operations with aerial reconnaissance and fire support.
