For better or for worse, fighting games give players all the character's tools immediately from the start. Like an open sandbox for people to mess around with! With so many options, it is easy to get overwhelmed & not learn the fundamentals of the game. My personal opinion on working on your fundamentals with Virtua Fighter: focus on getting really strong with the applications of a limited core set of moves. Incrementally, add moves to complement that core set of moves.
