I am one of those oddballs who does not understand the point of a “Memorandum of Understanding”. Is that an agreement? A policy? A treaty? An initative?…Or just another photo-op to make it look like you are actually doing something constructive? Asking for a friend.
Earlier this week I signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Premier of Saskatchewan Scott Moe @PremierScottMoe and Premier of the Northwest Territories RJ Simpson @RJSimpson_NWT to establish a framework for the three jurisdictions to advance collaboration and information-sharing related to nuclear generation technologies, including large-scale nuclear reactors, small modular reactors and microreactors and to enhance regional transmission infrastructure.
This agreement builds on Alberta’s ongoing work to explore nuclear energy’s potential, while bolstering grid reliability across the region.

Adopting the dollar is not going to work, because you’ll be subject to interest-rate changes from the Fed that have nothing to do with your area.
If you want to really separate, you’ve got to create your own central bank, your own currency.
You can make the currency convertible to gold at the current market level, so you don’t fix it like Bretton Woods. That would be disastrous.
Eliminate income tax on individuals. Corporations will have a 10% tax.
Florida has no income tax. There’s a corporate income tax. We’ve got a balanced budget. It can be done if you’re sensible about what you’re doing.

BREAKING - I just had an interesting conversation with a well placed source in Ottawa.
Apparently Carney has deliberately scuttled the trade negotiations with the USA so that he can ramp up another Elbozo fear campaign.
I have been saying for well over a year that Carney is deliberately destroying our trading relationship with our largest customer for his own nefarious reasons - in part dictated by Carney’s masters in China.
The Liberals and their accomplices in the bought and paid for media will be screaming about how Canada is “under attack” by President Trump and that Canadians all need to rally around the flag.
The timing of this serves multiple agendas.
1. The Liberals foolishly think this will undermine Alberta Independence.
2. The Liberals want to undermine Paul St. Pierre Plamondon who is poised to become Premier of Quebec.
3. The Liberals want to distract from their devaluation of the Canadian dollar and create the conditions to force Canada closer to China and into the European Union.
DON’T BE FOOLED. CARNEY IS RUNNING “SAFE AND EFFECTIVE”, “ELBOWS UP” 3.0.

Rules Imposed on Farmers in EU
• Limited manure spreading (≈170 kg nitrogen per hectare; the old higher Dutch allowance is gone)
• 40–50% cuts in ammonia pollution required in coming years
• Caps on animals per acre (e.g. ~2–3 cows per hectare)
• Far stricter limits near protected nature areas — shrink, move, or shut down
• Harder to get or keep permits because every bit of nitrogen is tracked
• Extra green rules (wetlands, crop rotation, wildlife land) required for subsidies
• Surplus manure must be hauled away, processed, or herds reduced
• Buyout money offered to farmers who quit or downsize near nature zones
Impact:
🔶 For farmers: Forced to slash herds, spend more on tech/manure handling, or exit entirely. Thousands of family farms and related jobs hit hard.
🔶 For food supply: Netherlands (major dairy & meat exporter) already has fewer animals and lower output. Domestic supply still secure for now, but exports fall, prices can rise, and Europe risks more imports.
