Despite reports of growing Russian-Chinese partnership, don’t forget Russian + Chinese policy on energy(price) is incompatible.
High energy prices over time is friction on the Chinese economy that increases risk of China turning on Russia.
Not to sound alarmist, but at what stage do we start gaming a response to a Russian atmospheric test of a nuclear weapon?
Perhaps at high altitude over or adjacent to Ukraine.
