If you’re building an application in crypto, you have to launch your own chain because it gives you ✨superpowers✨

hola andre, awesome article
There indeed has been a lot of innovation in the space — I appreciate that you dived into the rabbit hole and for having this yap session. This time i'll shill @initia a little bit more though.
For the technical points you made in the article — here is a reply from @tansawit which details how your qualms on noble, oracles, and wallets have been addressed already! There's also an awesome vid of a chain he just spun up on Initia with full access to oracles by default.

Initia's L1 + interwoven L2 stack is opinionated and this is where we derive network effects: everyone on the same stack, the same integrations, the same communication protocol, the same versions of tokens, and the same goal to win.
on value accrual — I think there are different visions here. I am rooted in the belief that apps become chains and we'll have thousands of them. The age of building general purpose base L2s (or even L1s!) is coming to an end; the framework through which you think is different from mine.
This time around we're trying to truly unlock scale and give developers the superpowers to build real optimized products. Cheap, fast, flexible rollups give teams the freedom and ability to build much more than just a base layer. The only way to reach this goal is through thousands of scalable appchains chains. p.s. sequencer fees are a solid form of revenue but you can find bonuses in execution by customizing ordering (w built in MEV auctions) and tx processing.
We've spent a lot of time thinking about value accrual in multi-chain systems and it led us to building Initia VIP. It essentially gives value back to L2 applications to retain and acquire users while enhancing Initia's entire L1 + L2 system. As a DeFi legend, you would probably like the mechanism 😛 : medium.com/@initiafdn/introd…
Appreciate the conversation!

VIP is the most egalitarian thing we've ever seen. It's insanely ambitious, and if it works, can really reshape the fabric of society.

Initia will be majority owned by you.
We are stoked to announce the completion of Initia's $2.5M Community Round — the first deal in The Echonomist, @echodotxyz's very own community venture group.
With over 800 participants, the round closed in just under two hours!
