Someone needs to be held accountable for this unrelenting fiasco .. it was due to OPEN in 2020, the budget over runs from 650 mil to 2.2 billion & counting!, the 20 & counting missed deadlines!, if Prof M. Neligan 🩺👨⚕️were still alive he'd be fit to be tied & rightly so. 🧐🤬
Aontú found out there are more problems in the Children's Hospital.
316 manual sliding doors need fixing, 126 of the 244 bathroom pods had drainage issues, 11 of the 22 operating theatre floors require remediation. 3 which have to be redone a third time.

1/3 The National Botanic Gardens always a beautiful spot at any time of year but, I visited not to see the plants & gardens on this occasion but, instead, to see an old building largely out of sight until recently & to hear about it's fascinating history
this building, to relocate her in public area as a museum to herself, to celebrate her architecture & detail as well as her story as a show centre across the city throughout the 1800s up to the 1960s. As 1 of the few surviving structures of it's kind globally it must be restored
Was coming to see her worthwhile? You bet! She may look like a rusting, old tin shed but she is so much more. Plus the #NationalBotanicalGardens are always lovely to visit.
She was eventually taken down around 1950 to make way for the Rose Garden. The extensive collection of seeds, plant products & dried specimens it housed formed the core of what is today the Economic Botany Collection in the National Herbarium at Glasnevin National Botanic Gardens

1/2🙏@RCSI_Irl Great talk by Prof Wood last week. On learning I'd attended my elderly mother inquired if Christiaan got a mention & "poor", wonderful Maurice. I was happy to confirm that they did indeed (but of course)!Highest Authority (Pat) received a shout out too😊
