Thanks @InisCom for your years of work on Assistive Technology with partners
I am one of the 2.5 billion people worldwide who need one or more assistive products. Without my glasses, I miss details that most people take for granted. I am fortunate to have access to regular eye care and to be able to replace my glasses when needed. But for millions of people around the world, the assistive technology they need is simply out of reach. On this #WorldATDay, I urge ALL countries to prioritise investment in making assistive technology accessible and affordable for everyone. When people have access to the tools they need, their quality of life and productivity can improve dramatically. Access to assistive technology is not a luxury. This is why I am happy to be part of #MeAndMyAT movement. Join us!

#Tuberculosis is caused by a type of bacteria that spread through the air when people with TB cough, sneeze or spit. It mainly affects the lungs, but can also impact other parts of the body. Seek medical attention if you have symptoms like: 🔸prolonged cough 🔸fever 🔸unexplained weight loss Early TB treatment can help stop the spread of disease and improve your chances of recovery. Contact your health provider if you: 🔸show symptoms 🔸are a close contact of a person with TB 🔸are at high risk of getting sick with TB. If you are living with HIV, get tested for TB.

Today is #WorldAIDSDay Have you heard about Lenacapavir or LEN, a new drug WHO recommends to protect people at risk of #HIV? For some people, taking daily pills is not easy. But Lenacapavir could change everything because instead of taking daily pills, people can now get injections every six months. At the time where funding for HIV is limited, this new drug could mean fewer new infections and more lives saved. Know more: bit.ly/3K0KPH3 #EndAIDS

There are almost 50 million cases of #sepsis globally every year, half of which occur in babies and children, primarily in health care facilities.   This includes 11 million deaths annually. But most deaths from sepsis can be prevented through low-cost infection prevention and control measures, early diagnosis and rapid treatment. Nobody should die while seeking health care.

Every woman and their baby deserves safe, respectful care. Yet, mistreatment during pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period remains far too common in many parts of the world. It doesn’t have to be this way. Dignity, equity and respect must be part of every aspect of maternal and newborn care. Learn more 👉bit.ly/4m51yqc #HopefulFutures

It's #WorldBreastfeedingWeek. In the first year, babies 👶 should breastfeed at least 8 times in a 24-hour period. Most babies will breastfeed more often. Watch the baby not the clock - breastfeed 🤱🏾 as often as baby needs! #HopefulFutures
