Here is my reasoning and justification for being so 'balls deep' in $ADA. 🧵 Firstly, Cardano is the most decentralised PoS with self-custody staking enabling extra yield in DeFi. How? By design, it is natively liquid and can still earn staking rewards in liquidity pools. /1

Testing stuff and just placed 60k limit orders with a single click. Seems excessive, but can anyone guess why this may be SUPER USEFUL for ecosystem stability ? 🤔

Why Cardano? I've spent the past few years exploring and building on Cardano. I wanted to share what draws me to this blockchain and why I continue to show up every day. Security - 100% uptime for 8+ years - Highly decentralized, MAV over 25 - 3000+ stake pools - No forks/rollbacks/restarts/pauses - Proven security guarantees similar to Bitcoin - Never compromised Principles - Capped supply of ₳45 billion - Open-source protocol - Owned and governed by users, not VCs - Transparent and unchanging monetary policy - Low energy and carbon footprint - Low barrier to entry for node operation Design - Built entirely on peer-reviewed research - 250+ research papers - Partnerships with top academic institutions - Developed in Haskell for added security - Multi-asset ledger, all tokens and NFTs are handled the same as ADA - Predictable transaction outcomes, failed transactions are extremely rare Capability - Superior staking with no lockup, staked ADA remains in your custody - Staking rewards paid out every 5 days - Low and consistent transaction fees - UTxO model allows highly customizable transactions - Seamless network upgrades using Hard Fork Combinator - Scalability via L2s, Hydra, Leios and more Ecosystem - Healthy and vibrant DApp ecosystem - 1,160+ projects actively building - ADA holders vote to fund projects through Catalyst - Extended network of partner blockchains (aka sidechains) - Secure transfers to/from Bitcoin and other UTxO blockchains - New projects announced daily Community - Democratic gov with checks and balances - $1B+ community-governed treasury - ADA holders can propose or vote on protocol changes - 5 million+ wallet addresses - Community hubs worldwide - Wide distribution of ADA In summary, Cardano is a unique blockchain that combines programmability, hard money properties, and true OG cryptocurrency principles. It is the ideal foundation for a decentralized, resilient, and future-proof digital economy🖖. If you read this far, let me know what I missed, or what brings you to Cardano!

The market has a salacious appetite for $STRIKE right now and I don't blame it. Every healthy correction gets gobbled up quick smart. This project has not put a foot wrong, imo.

Oh look! A video from April 2017, showing (1:36-3:30)how to CREATE A WALLET (PRIVATE KEY) & THEN REDEEM USING THE REDEMPTION CERTIFICATE Tldr No. The presale participants DIDN'T receive private keys. (They had to create it) Anyone clinging to that narrative is confused or lying

ADA Voucher FUD Breakdown & Cardano Redemption History 1) Between 2015 and 2017, Cardano ran a pre-sale mainly in Japan, where they sold ADA vouchers and raised about 2.59 billion ADA. 2) Buyers of these vouchers could claim their ADA after the mainnet launched in 2017 by entering their voucher codes into the Daedalus wallet. 3) A company called Attain Corp handled the sale with KYC/AML checks, and the process was jointly overseen by IOHK (now IOG), the Cardano Foundation, and EMURGO. 4) Over time, some early buyers never claimed their ADA, leaving a leftover balance of around 318 million ADA—roughly 1% of the total pre-sale amount. 5) From 2017 to 2020, users could still claim their vouchers, but after the Shelley hard fork in July 2020, the claim mechanism stopped working. 6) That’s because addresses from the Byron era were no longer processed as UTXOs after the Shelley upgrade, making it technically impossible to redeem them. 7) To resolve this, the Allegra hard fork (Dec 16, 2020) introduced a function that reclaimed the unclaimed ADA from those old voucher addresses. 8) Specifically, the function returnRedeemAddrsToReserves was used to collect all unclaimed ADA from Byron voucher addresses and return them to Cardano’s reserves. The total ADA supply remained unchanged. 9) In short, the chain officially absorbed and started managing these unclaimed ADA funds after Shelley. 10) Since 2021, Input Output Global (IOG) has been running efforts to return the unclaimed ADA to rightful owners. 11) IOG formed a dedicated team to track down buyers and help them reclaim their ADA, holding multiple redemption events when necessary. 12) Because most buyers were based in Japan, IOG worked closely with EMURGO to contact them and help with required paperwork. 13) On Oct 23, 2021, the Cardano network executed a special MIR (Move Instantaneous Rewards) transaction, transferring ~318.2 million ADA from the reserves into six designated stake addresses. 14) MIR is a special transaction type on Cardano that allows ADA to be moved from the reserves or treasury with a multisig by genesis keys. 15) Metadata for the transaction clearly stated that the funds were being moved to an escrow wallet specifically for ADA pre-sale redemptions. 16) Prior to the full transfer, each address received a test transfer of 100 ADA—proving that a small test was done before moving the full amount (total escrowed: 318.200580 million ADA). 17) These six escrow wallets have since been used to distribute ADA to verified claimants on a case-by-case basis, managed by IOG’s support team. 18) Out of the 318.2 million ADA reclaimed during Allegra, over 300 million ADA was successfully returned to original owners by the end of the redemption period in 2024. Only ~18 to 19 million ADA remains unclaimed. 19) The leftover ADA likely belongs to people who either never came forward or didn’t complete the necessary legal steps for the refund. Much of it still sits in the escrow wallets (notably ARF1, ARF3, ARF4). 20) Regular ADA holders had to rely on explorers and community discussions to track this info. The lack of clear, upfront communication led to some FUD and confusion. 21) Charles Hoskinson has said that an independent audit report is nearly complete. It will include every tranche of the initial sale, all redemption transactions, and a full breakdown of the unclaimed ADA. 22) Once finished, the audit report will be shared with IOG, the Cardano Foundation, EMURGO, and Intersect—then made public. 23) Some criticisms are based on real events, but they often miss the context or misinterpret what actually happened. 24) The remaining unclaimed ADA also moved into the reserves in December 2020, and was later transferred to escrow in October 2021—it never disappeared into any personal wallet. 25) While the use of genesis keys and the large ADA movement raised questions, the purpose was investor protection—not personal gain. These funds were either returned or moved to community-controlled reserves. 26) Looking at on-chain data and official communications, there’s zero evidence that Charles Hoskinson or IOG secretly siphoned off 318 million ADA. Over 99% was rightfully returned, and the rest is still accounted for. 27) To ease community concerns, an external audit is being finalized and will transparently lay out all transactions and usage of those ADA funds.

The debate surrounding the ada redemption process continues without abatement. Aristotle’s quote, “nature abhors a vacuum,” is over 2,000 years old but may even ring truer today in our world cluttered by online media platforms such as X. In this digital world of instant gratification, it is human nature to fill the perceived vacuum created by a lack of facts with speculation. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. In the United States, even opinion in the form of speculation is protected by the free speech rights embedded in the First Amendment of the American Constitution. Divergent opinions result in healthy debate, but at times, speculation can also devolve into poisonous, destructive and damaging discourse. Accordingly, even the First Amendment has limits.  On such limit is defamation. Defamation occurs when false statements are presented as fact, and those statements result in harm or damage to an individual or business. A good example of this is a tweet that was posted that made an accusation of laundering. Regardless of our personal views as to all of the ongoing speculation or its potential adverse impact on us or Cardano, we have no intent of shutting down the ongoing debate.  It is not our right to do so. Instead, as I will again repeat, there will be an audit conducted by independent third parties, whose findings will be made public.  As a result, we know that this ongoing speculation on the ada redemption process will, by necessity, give way to independently verified facts. And that’s a good thing, because any current speculation and opinion supported by those verified facts must stand. However, the speculation out there that is nothing more than defamation, and that has and is hurting reputations and creating economic harm does give rise to legal claims. In fact, some written statements, if untrue and that are made negligently or with actual malice can be considered so damaging to an individual’s or business’s reputation that they are libel per se and can be successfully prosecuted without the need to even prove damages. When you are the target of repugnant accusations, it hurts. While this type of behavior represents some of the worst attributes of human behavior, it is what is. But when statements cross the line and become defamation, they should not and will not be ignored.

What infuriates me about this so-called “redemption scandal” is how arrogantly people speak without the faintest grasp of the actual history. I was there. I lived it. I personally ran the Sales App project, the backbone of the KYC and voucher system. I deployed the first AVVM instance and watched the grueling, thankless years of work that went into making sure people could redeem by @IOHK_Charles and IOG. Redemption wasn’t some half-assed operation. It was a full-blown campaign, built from scratch. A dedicated team worked tirelessly for years tracking down unredeemed participants. YEARS. Not months. Not a single cycle. Years. And one of the primary reasons much of this wasn't made public? To protect those very users from social engineering attacks. To redeem, people needed access to their original registration email and supporting documents. They had to complete limited KYC. Many of them weren't tech-savvy. Some were borderline vulnerable, and would’ve been easy prey if this information had been openly broadcast. Still not enough? IOG hired an entire team in Japan to physically track down unredeemed holders via postal mail, cold calls, in-person visits, and media outreach. They even launched a second redemption campaign. I challenge anyone throwing stones today to point to any crypto project that went to these lengths for legacy users. You won’t find one. And after nearly seven years of relentless, careful, behind-the-scenes work, people who contributed nothing. Attention seekers and shit actors are trying to burn it down in the name of "truth seeking". Let me be crystal clear: fuck off. You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, and frankly, you're not qualified to speak on the matter. What you're doing isn't whistleblowing or truth seeking. It’s performative ignorance, dressed up as outrage for internet points.
