So don't let AI do it all for you.

Washington & Beijing worry that if India can grow at nearly 8% a year amid global wars, $100 oil, trade tariffs & El Niño drought, what might its growth rate be when the clouds clear? My @firstpost column firstpost.com/opinion/head-o…

A Red Hat engineer used Claude Code to reverse-engineer Windows hardware support and bring it to Linux.
Christian Schaller bought a film scanner, only to discover its newer chipset didn’t work on Linux.
After months of failed attempts, he gave Claude access to a Windows virtual machine running the manufacturer’s driver.
Claude analyzed the USB traffic to help reproduce the scanner’s behavior on Linux. Within hours, Schaller had his first recognizable scan.
He then used a similar approach to fix problems with his ThinkPad’s camera, producing patches for the Linux kernel and libcamera.
The scanner driver remains a proof of concept, and the camera fixes are going through submission and review.
He also released hw-harness so other developers can try this with their own hardware. Every result was checked on the actual devices.

One of the best demo ever. Kudos @Tesla
Elon might be a bit narcisst sometimes but he continues to shift the limits of engineering. Tvis is one terrific demo.
Fantastic. Credit to Tesla where it is due.
Before the event Elon called it the most exciting demo of any product, "whether it works or not". It worked.
The Roadster jumped over a row of Teslas on 600 L of compressed air, did a side flip from standstill, and Road & Track timed 0-60 at 0.81 s.
Since 2017 buyers have had $50K deposits down for this car. Production is now 2028.
Now an India question. Which of our home-grown automobile companies can put on a demo like this in the near future? And what would they need first?

AWS is coming for the cloud architect’s job.
Or at least, a big chunk of it.
They built an AI agent that can audit up to 100 AWS accounts, find architecture problems, and generate the Terraform fixes for them.
The new Well-Architected Agent checks cost, security, performance and resilience across 65+ AWS services.
Feed it Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK, and it can return the IaC changes and CLI commands needed to fix what it finds.
And it doesn’t stop after one review.
AWS says it can automatically re-check your environments every week.
