At some point, the black community has to have a serious conversation, and Kamala backing down in the CA Governor’s race is as good a place to start as any. We are the only reason the Democrats are able to survive at all as a party. Without 80+ percent of the Black vote, they cannot win in ANY significant election. But as Malcolm put it in ‘64, ‘you put them first and they put you last, and that makes you a chump - a political chump.’ What exactly have we received in return for our loyalty? What deliverables have the Dems given us since Civil and Voting Rights legislation in 64-65? The occasional Black imperialist in positions of power, Obama as president, Kamala as VP. What would Malcolm, Huey, Chairman Fred say about the paltry price we have accepted in exchange for our loyalty to a party that deals black death with every breath?
