Voting straight ticket Republican is the difference between having a government that deports illegal aliens vs. a government that literally created an easily accessible app that allowed foreigners from all over the world to pillage your country.

Read every word of this slowly to understand that your local govts and school boards are taking you to the cleaners
“If you use Baker Tilly in your local government, they owe you a refund. You should fire them.” Yep. That was @gartenforsenate at the Property Tax Hall. A Greene County investor asked Sen. Ryan Mishler, Garten and Rep. Craig Snow whether counties really lost 20% to 30% of their revenue because of Senate Bill 1. Sen Garten and State Rep Craig Snow answered the question. Then they went after the people they believe helped create the narrative that SB1 was going to financially devastate local governments. Garten argued Baker Tilly and other fiscal advisors modeled SB1 using 0% assessment growth, which he said made the projected revenue losses look dramatically worse than they would with normal assessment growth. Snow described his own confrontation with Baker Tilly and argued fiscal advisors were warning local governments about severe financial problems, encouraging them to prepare referendums and seek additional revenue. Snow called that kind of behavior in the public sector “egregious.” They also raised the financial incentive: fiscal advisors can make money from bond transactions, meaning they can benefit when local governments take on debt. So this wasn't simply: “SB1 didn't hurt local governments as much as predicted.” Their argument was much more pointed: The projections used to warn local governments about SB1 were based on assumptions they considered unrealistic, and they believe fiscal advisors helped amplify that narrative. And Garten's message to local governments using Baker Tilly? Fire them. Thank you @EllenwoodMatt & 1st Amendment Media for the recording. SAUCE: youtube.com/live/4YflWDnbmgE…

If wives knew what happens when their husband take their young children to grocery stores when she is not with them, she would never allow it.

8 years ago, HS coach told me to take my son to a sports med place downtown Indy. These docs serve professional athletes. I noticed an Indy car driver and a WNBA player getting PT also. We gave them space and did not stare. The WNBA player clearly wanted our attention. 🙄

Changed my driving route to work recently because the off ramp at West St and on to my turn is like mad max. I was very nearly hit three times the last time I drove that stretch. Now I take surface streets and, man, are they bumpy. Lost a hubcap this week. Pretty irritating.

What an appalling speech the Mayor of New York delivered for the 250th anniversary of the nation. Sadly, it reflects the view of America propagated for years by Howard Zinn and his like-minded colleagues in the universities and believed by armies of the young: a dark, oppressive country where common people are denigrated by tyrants and oligarchs, where immigrants are treated with contempt, where those with “soft hands” hold the wealth created by those with dirty hands. No sensible person would claim that our country is without flaws, but the relentlessly negative picture painted by Mayor Mamdani is just absurd. And it is the fruit of the Marxism that, sadly, is all the rage today.

To the Americans: I've travelled all over the world. I've familiarized myself with many places, and met many people. And I'm a Canadian, although I’m privileged to reside once again in the States. And here's something I've noticed, and it’s a key element of America's continuing greatness: You bloody Americans value success, and you believe in its existence. This is something that doesn't really happen anywhere else in the world. Even in other free democracies—the United Kingdom; Finland, Sweden, and Norway; Australia, New Zealand and Canada; Germany, France, and the Netherlands (great countries all)—a counterproductive cynicism too often reigns. Success is equated with exploitation. Ambition is looked upon with contempt. This happens sometimes in the United States too—particularly among the miserable progressives, who confuse their resentment, ingratitude and unearned skepticism with wisdom. But in your great country, by and large, striving is admired and success celebrated. This means that more people strive and succeed in the US than anywhere else. And it's increasingly obvious. You remain stunningly more innovative and productive than any people anywhere else on the planet. And so I say, as all should who are fortunate enough to live in the western world, let alone America: Thank God for the United States. Thank God for the wisdom of its founders. Thank God for its faith in the free market and in the natural rights of man. Happy birthday, you damn Yankees and Southerners. Long may your admirable country dominate the world. Long may your freedom and hope provide an example to those suffering everywhere at the hands of their malevolent states. May your two and a half centuries of unparallelled success be just the beginning. Your country is the light of the world, and the city on the hill. Thank God for the USA. Happy 250th. Dr. Jordan B. Peterson

This is a major problem and people in Indiana where property assessments are rising 15%+ a year, this will be a very real result for many people, including me, except my house will not be paid off until I’m 80.
My aunt paid off her house in 2011. Threw a party. Cried happy tears. Said she finally owned something in this world. Property taxes were $3,200 a year back then. Today they’re $9,800. HOA went from $180 a month to $440. Homeowners insurance doubled after the storms in her area. She’s 71 on a fixed income writing three checks every month on a house she already paid for. She told me last week she’s thinking about selling. The house she spent 30 years paying off. The house she cried over. Because she can’t afford to stay in something she owns. You never really own it. You just run out of people to pay and find new ones.

America
The World Cup has turned America into a discovery channel for the rest of the world. And they are not handling it well. In the best possible way. Here is what they are discovering: Free public restrooms. Europeans pay every time. Free water at every restaurant. Just appears. Free refills. Coffee. Sodas. Iced tea. Unlimited. Free chips and salsa before you even order. Free warm bread with dinner. Ice in drinks like civilized people. Air conditioning everywhere. Not a moral debate. A fact. Parking lots attached to the actual place you are going. Drive throughs where the food comes to the car while you sit in it. Ranch dressing by the gallon. Tex-Mex that cannot be explained only experienced. Dental care that actually works. Buccee’s. There are no words for Buccee’s. Then they found the grocery stores. Five of them within one mile. Each one the size of an aircraft hangar. Burgers. Steaks. Brisket. Ribs. Pulled pork. Lamb. Veal. Every cut of every animal ever domesticated by human civilization available in one refrigerated aisle at ten in the morning on a Tuesday. The Germans stood in the meat section for forty five minutes. In silence. Processing. They finally understand why we do not have trains. We have roads wide enough for the cars we actually drive. Parking lots the size of small European countries. Airports in every city worth visiting. Why would we need trains. The Germans are taking ranch home by the bottle. The Dutch found queso and briefly lost the ability to speak. The Japanese are photographing HEB like it is the Louvre. The Czechs are weeping in West, Texas. Welcome to America! The greatest country on earth.

🇺🇸 It once draped the casket of a hero who served. It is folded 13 times for the 13 colonies. It is shaped like a triangle for the tricorn hats of the Revolution. When it’s done, only the blue field and stars show as a reminder of “In God We Trust.” Over a million Americans died for that flag. Honor it 🫡🇺🇸

Watching a forum of candidates for the Indiana 5th District Congressional seat. The quality of these candidates is so very discouraging.

TRUTH
This is an excellent analysis of what is happening in our society today. Republicans need to wake up and see how we are being emotionally manipulated.

Enjoyed watching this player will his HS team to a state championship, he’s been at Ball State. Any program that picks him up will be blessed.
I would like to thank Ball State for the opportunity to play basketball at the next level. I have decided to enter the portal in March, with 3 years of eligibility
