Political account of a slightly left leaning independent. Thank you, President Biden! Will never forget Jan. 6/how bad it got under that lying/racist/traitor.

5 things people should know about Trump’s Iran war 1. Trump’s Iran war has cost the average American household at least $1,200 2. The Pentagon hid the number of fatalities in Trump’s Iran war 3. The average family has spent nearly $700 more on gas since Trump started his war 4. Commanders were warned Iran was ready to strike a military post they sent soldiers anyway and six died 5. Trump’s Iran war drove 40% of inflation in the 2nd quarter of 2026

He is asking for this.
Trump: "Let them hit a missile into San Diego or Los Angeles on the way. You want to see a horror show? Let them hit San Diego. Let them hit Los Angeles. You want to see some bad things happen?"

Putin marked his birthday with more strikes on Ukraine. Reagan's party once stood up to Moscow. Today's Republican senators can't even speak up. Remember that in November.

Iran has no nuclear weapons and can’t “take out” L.A. or San Diego. But a U.S. President nevertheless inviting it to do so puts us in 25th Amendment territory. Trump is unfit and must go.

Trump is the first president to call for America to be attacked. And his Republican allies said nothing. They don't care about you, or the country. Vote Democratic this November. The future of America depends on it.

if you think allowing other people to marry the person of their choice curtails your "religious liberty," you're a religious fanatic who does not belong in government.
Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito says in a new book that he believes the court's landmark decision extending marriage rights to same-sex couples was "perhaps the decisive point in our nation's turn against religious liberty." Read more: abcnews.link/M860KYr

This is absurd. We should reject AI bots doing "bad things" so that some of the richest corporations in the world can get even richer. It's time to enforce the laws already on the books, regulate AI, and protect people from serious harm.

CEO compensation has increased 1,316% since 1978. And worker compensation? Just 28%. The system is rigged. We need to start taxing the rich so they pay their fair share.

Elon Musk advising Trump on warfare is just handing over your taxpayer money to a trillionaire. Musk will push his AI and space technologies, make money from defense contracts, then pour that money into MAGA campaigns. Corruption in plain sight.

In July, I led several Senators in a request to the Secretary of the Air Force to disclose how much money is being stolen from taxpayers to pay for Trump’s luxury Qatari jet. Today I got a reply. 100 words. Telling Congress to screw off. Can’t wait for a Democratic Senate!

If you want to be a pro-democracy network you should not take stolen taxpayer money to air authoritarian propaganda. Send the money back and say no. This is not a hard call.
The Trump administration bought advertising space on CNN and MS NOW, running taxpayer-funded ads promoting President Trump, even as the president barred both cable networks from the White House grounds — bans that have been paused by a federal judge. wapo.st/4rJXVd5

TODAY: New SNAP cuts are kicking in because of Trump's "Big Beautiful Bill." 5 million people have already lost food assistance, including 1.5 million+ kids since the bill was enacted. No kid deserves to go hungry so Trump can give his billionaire buddies another tax handout.

I'm very excited that Pete Hegseth is starting the Department of Religious Affairs. Since he married two of his mistresses and his family still seems very religious, I assume his own affairs were very wholesome and religious.

Higher interest rates, rising costs, and no jobs. American families are being squeezed on all sides by Trump’s disastrous economy.
JUST IN: A medicore September jobs report. The US economy added only 29,000 jobs in September (well below ~80k expected). On top of that, there were downward revisions: July was revised down to -10k and August to 133k. Unemployment rate: 4.2% (up from 4.1% in August) The biggest sore spot = wage growth of 3% in past year. That’s a new 5-year low and it’s wiped out entirely by ~3.4% inflation.

This completely insane (but very telling) lie has been debunked. Just despicable lying.
Vance: When you look at the Epstein files which were released…. what is the obvious thing? Donald Trump turned Jeffrey Epstein into the local police.

He’s not wrong. Trump wins the gold medal for jobs lost as POTUS. There have been 45 other presidents, but no one has shown greater proficiency when it comes to choking the life out of a booming economy than Donald J Trump.
Trump yesterday: We have the best economic numbers of any president in the history of our country. Yet people don't know about it.

Americans have never felt worse as they’re getting squeezed at the gas pump and grocery store. Donald Trump and the Republicans own this.
