IATS Archer Austin took top honors at the T.C. Archers State Qualifier in Fairland, IN, scoring a 275 with ten bulls-eyes and ranking 1st of all high school boys. Congratulations Austin we are rooting for you!
A group of IATS students were able to attend the @VincennesU Student Ag Training Day, where they participated in lessons about Agriculture Sales, Small Engine, Forestry, and Agriculture Mechanics.

Prescribed fires are one of the most effective tools for restoring fire-dependent ecosystems. These burns mimic natural fires, reduce hazardous fuels accumulations, reintroduce fire into a fire-dependent system, and recycle nutrients which promotes habitat diversity. #Widlfire
Career Corner: Flower Growers cultivate and harvest seeds, bulbs, buds and flowers. They use their knowledge of botany, soil science, identifying and controlling pests and weeds, to make sure that your loved ones have flowers for Valentine’s Day.
IATS participated in the @IndianaFFA 2019 Leadership Development Workshop. As one parent told us, "Morgan has been talking about the weekend’s experience over and over and is looking forward to helping make the IATS FFA chapter known."
CAREER CORNER: Plant Ecologists examine plants and their relationship with the environment and with other plants. Plant Ecologists look at how a certain environment influences or is influenced by the plants that live there.
CAREER CORNER: Landscapers work with green spaces such as parks and gardens, carrying out general maintenance and improvements. Their tasks include planting, weeding, installing water features, altering land gradient, improvements to drainage, and laying new turf or paving.
CAREER CORNER: A forest firefighter prevents, controls, and suppresses fires in federal, state, and private forests. The job involves everything from fire education to budgeting for supplies, maintaining equipment, fighting fires, and assessing fire damage.
