Addressing the 66th Foundation Day of NCERT, Hon’ble Union Education Minister, Govt. of India, Shri Pralhad Joshi highlighted the major role of NCERT in shaping India’s school education system and contributing to the vision of 𝐕𝐢𝐤𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐁𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭.
He emphasised NCERT’s key responsibility in driving the transformation envisioned under NEP 2020, benefiting both students and teachers.
The Hon’ble Minister appreciated NCERT’s efforts towards multilingual and inclusive education, including making textbooks of Grades 1-8 available in 22 Scheduled Indian languages and development of primers in 121 languages, including 93 primers in tribal languages.
He also highlighted how digital education initiatives such as PM eVidya, DIKSHA, eJaadui Pitara etc. are making quality educational resources more accessible and beneficial for teachers and students.
