If you don't know me, I'm Sam, for years, I was a prisoner of two extremes: total void or self-destructive grind, fueled by a hunger to prove my worth.
6 years ago, it all collapsed.
This is the story I've buried until now (link in comment)👇
You can completely improve your Life in doing this:👇🏼👇🏼
12 things that drastically upgrade a life:
1]- Grinding obsessively and way beyond reason on whatever gets you hard as f*ck
2]- Holding on to your invariants (Taleb is still the GOAT)
3]- Living way more in the present moment: reading, writing, social-connection maxxing
4]- Having one or several mentors to drag you out of your own head and its ego (and paying real cash for it so the stakes are maxed out)
5]- Traveling to every corner of the world
6]- Grasping how much your environment actually shapes you
7]- Never underestimating the small wins
8]- Never overestimating a failure
9]- Smashing your limiting beliefs along the way
10]- Never letting anyone define who you are, and taking action in the real world to crush overthinking into dust and build rock-solid self-confidence
11]- Writing this list while listening to a French rap album that matrixed you in high school (Cyborg), 10,000 meters up, flying over Asia
12]- Believing everything I just laid out is the ultimate list… then realizing six months from now that it's evolved again, because it's a never-ending cycle
We'll get there, amigo.

Extract yourself from the lethargy that your obsession with saving time brings about, which admittedly pushes you to use brilliant tools, but which also erodes your capacity to analyze, to reason and to make connections.
You can no longer weave links between ideas or create bridges between different domains…
In plain terms, you lose the sap of your intellectual sovereignty when you delegate and externalize the entirety of your processes of reflection and creation to tools like GPT, Claude or Grok.
Get back to work on paper, with a nice gray pencil, and let your creativity speak. Learn to get out of the linearity of thought, widen your universe of reflection and give it a spatial dimension. And observe, in the present moment, to what extent it becomes, after a few days, extremely satisfying to feel absorbed by a simple blank sheet and a gray pencil.
Simple thing, but we have to tell this again and again..
(Ps: I work on my next newsletter guys)👇🏼
It's kinda funny, because in the neuro-emotional coaching sessions I run, I keep noticing 2 problems:
The first one is that it's always the men who struggle to take the leap, just because of the word "emotional," and this weird feeling that they're about to face the same ordeal as sitting across from a psychologist..
Except the difference here is that I'm just like them: an entrepreneur, with ambitions, with a past that led me to lose myself in a quest that made zero sense to me and wrecked me mentally..
Out of ego, some of them don't want to face themselves and understand the toxic relationship they have with metrics, and with performance in general…
But I deeply believe that a lot of our problems come down to how we look at them … to me, that's a key part of their personal growth…
On top of that, a lot of them have fried their nervous system by overthinking every unproductive hour they supposedly need to make up for, and they keep putting monstrous pressure on themselves… so of course it hits everything else…
- Sleep first,
- The energy they have each day
- The ability to fully focus
- Making the best decisions for their business
- AND inevitably, their revenue too…
And the second point, I forgot it while writing the first one lol

The only thing that'll change you deep down is embodying it like it's a game, that's just my opinion, but as long as you're on a frequency where the slightest little curveball has the power to numb you, you'll stay frozen in front of actions that feel too anxiety-inducing and too far from your frame of possibilities….
And that too, those are probably circuits you've unconsciously trained for years,
That's exactly why it's so hard for you to picture yourself getting out of it.
And why your whole universe of thoughts is driven by nothing but scripts blackened by fear, spotlighting the failures you might be living through next..
There are a lot of perspectives to unpack around this topic of neuroplasticity, which is pretty fascinating, gotta admit..

Before, when we were still kids, we spent our days learning through play:
It may have escaped your mind since, because everything has evolved, you have grown up, you have become an adult, you have taken on responsibilities… and then above all..
We let ourselves be anesthetized by the modern world which offers us accessible shortcuts with a disconcerting ease, leading our cranial boxes and our 90 billion neurons to weaken their connections
Get back to playing Scrabble, do crosswords, sudoku, Rubik's cube, writing, drawings, painting, cards, Monopoly, so many games that must be reintegrated to stimulate the brain in a playful way and re-form connections which once were quite solid and which with time saw themselves prisoners of the evolution of the world…

Never have even an ounce of doubt that you can sculpt your reality in a way that's completely lopsided toward the positive.. you've got more than enough in you to embody a life that means something,
It's a matter of perspective, and mental hygiene 😉
I spent a big part of my teenage years writing songs, scraps of text I would've loved to turn into books, and sometimes I even wrote poems for my mom..
In that, I found a kind of remedy for my inability to talk with others and that deep lack of self-confidence weighing on my shoulders..
Today it's strange, but I use writing so I don't become one of those fried brains… so I don't sink into the horrible masquerade of this modern world where pens, which used to be dipped in ink and are now dipped in frying oil.. have stopped being the result of our finest brain capacities and leave nothing behind but artificial bacteria, which are infecting an entire generation..
Write with your hand 2h a day starting today.. and I swear, in 30 days your own brain won’t be the same one anymore
Do it, because honestly it's totally freeing for your mind to feel yourself actually getting back abilities the modern world had wiped out…

The weird thing is that I started sleeping worse from the moment I understood how important it was, because before, a bad night was simply a bad night, and without even realizing it I’d gone from “I’m going to bed” to “I have to sleep”..
So you focus too much on your sleep and you end up making it sacred as a performance zone, to the point of monitoring whether you’re letting go (yep, that’s where I was at..), and those 7 to 8h you need to be, to do, become the reflection of who you are..
I was the first one ruminating, overanalyzing and overinterpreting the whole system, and it made me even more vulnerable, because fear is the reflection of what your brain interprets, and it always imagines the worst, “if I slept badly, how am I gonna react?”
Really, you try to reassure yourself by collecting info when that collecting itself grows the space your sleep takes up in your attention, and at night you go back to the bed where you slept badly, a seriously vicious circle..
So you gotta do everything in your environment to set it up, without forcing yourself to sleep, with good habits and detachment from a bad night, and honestly, it applies to every area of life…
