Ambassador Pranay Verma was invited by Hydrogen Europe in Brussels for an interaction on India-EU cooperation in green hydrogen. During his interaction with CEO Mr. Jorgo Chatzimarkakis, they discussed ways to bring industries in India and EU to work together to develop green hydrogen as a clean, resilient and cost-effective energy resource. India’s Green Hydrogen Mission envisages positioning the country as a global hub for production, consumption and export of green hydrogen and its derivatives. India is the 3rd largest producer and consumer of hydrogen globally. Under the National Green Hydorgen Mission, India is targeting an annual production capacity of 5 million metric tons of green hydrogen by 2030.
