Why do NAVs move daily?
Even cash-heavy options ETPs see daily NAV changes because the market constantly reprices their open option positions.
Key factors driving these daily shifts:
- Stock Price: If a stock rises, sold puts lose value (an unrealized gain for the ETP). If it falls, sold puts gain value (an unrealized loss).
- Time Decay: As an option nears expiry, it loses value, which usually benefits the ETP that sold it.
- Volatility: Higher volatility increases option prices (hurting the ETP's position), while lower volatility decreases them.
The NAV reflects the ETP's cash, assets, and the current market value of its open option positions, which are always moving.

September was the worst month in over a year for the iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (TLT).
Our 20+ Year Treasury Options ETP (TLTY) holds TLT. It sells call options on TLT with the aim of generating monthly income.
Both fell in September. But with income reinvested, TLTY fell by less (options income cushioned part of the drop).
The chart shows the full picture since we launched TLTY in June 2025.
It's still down, though. TLTY holds TLT, so it's not a hedge against falling bond prices.

The IncomeShares Amazon $AMZN Options ETP paid $0.1631 last week.
IncomeShares reached $220 million in assets under management (AUM) at the end of September.
Our AUM has grown every month since we launched in July 2024, which suggests demand for options income ETPs in Europe is rising.

154 investors answered our investor survey in July. Now we're running the next one.
It covers:
- Income versus growth
- What you do with your income
- New indices and ETPs you'd like to see
- How much an ETP moves with the asset it holds
- The income level and price swings that suit you
- What you look at first in an options income ETP
- A set income range or income that moves with the market
It's anonymous, takes about five minutes, and closes at midnight (UK time) on Sunday 25 October. We'll publish the results, and your answers will feed into how we build our ETPs.

Reinvesting ETP yields can create a "compound income" effect for your portfolio.
Options ETPs aim to generate income by selling options and distributing the premiums as dividends. By reinvesting those payouts back into the ETP instead of taking cash, you acquire more units. Those new units can then start generating their own income, creating a compounding snowball effect over time.
Many brokers offer Dividend Reinvestment Plans (DRIPs) to automatically reinvest your payouts, keeping your money working in the background.

Many options income exchange-traded products use covered calls – and the idea is simpler than it sounds.
This video explains how it works, and what you may give up for that income potential.

The IncomeShares Apple Options ETP will pay $0.2037 per share tomorrow.
By the close of September, cumulative fund flows for IncomeShares ETPs climbed 6.3% from August to reach $284.3 million.
September alone generated $13.7M in net inflows.
Flows have grown consecutively every month and continue to outpace total AUM.
Because our strategies aim to fund distributions through collected option premiums, every payout reduces the net asset value (NAV) by the distribution amount. As a result, historical inflows will naturally trend higher than current AUM over time.

SpaceX wants to borrow $40 billion to buy Nvidia chips. Its shares dropped on the news – and the cost of insuring its debt hit a record high.
Volatility like that is why some investors buy put options on SpaceX shares. If the stock price drops, they get the right to sell SpaceX shares at the strike price.
They can do this either as:
1) A directional bet on the stock's fall, or
2) A hedge on SpaceX shares they might already own.
The IncomeShares SpaceX Options ETP takes the other side of that trade: it sells put options on SpaceX to those option buyers. The option buyers pay premiums upfront, and we aim to pay that premium out to investors as monthly income.
The ETP also holds some exposure to SpaceX shares. That can help it track the general direction of the stock's moves – both to the upside and downside.
The image shows total return since launch on 10 July: the change in the ETP's price plus every distribution, reinvested when paid. SpaceX pays no dividend, so the stock's line is its share price. Figures in US dollars to 30 September 2026.

The IncomeShares Alphabet Options ETP sells put options on Alphabet with the aim of generating monthly income.
It also holds some Alphabet shares. That gives the ETP some upside potential if the stock price rises.
If the stock price falls below the strike price, the ETP may have to buy more shares. The put option income it received upfront may help cushion some of that fall.
Its next monthly distribution is $0.3515 per share. Over the 12 months to 30 September 2026, it returned 29.2% with distributions reinvested. (Figures in USD)
