Reminder to never ever *debate* your girl. You can (and should!) have lively disagreements about politics/society/culture with her, you can (and should!) both speak frankly, and you can (and should!) have a sparring partner in her.
What you absolutely must not do is push the big red button in your brain that says "dEbaTe". You then enter an entirely different psycho/social/emotional register of gotchas, facts & logic, speaking fast like Ben Shapiro, "This House Believes" etc.
Importantly, this is neither gender's fault. Men are (often) socialised into a weird non-cooperational debate mode where if you ask "source?" often enough you get to be the leader of your local high-school nerd team. Women are (often) socialised into an emotional panopticon where disagreement is seen as open hostility. Your job as 21st century men and women is to overcome this.
Crucially, the emotional subtext of the conversation should always be "we are on the same team". This is important because politics is "we are on opposing teams". So you both should make an effort to tune out propaganda and be two people sharing a safe, warm little corner in this mad mad world.

It's worse. Young men internalized "consent culture" and feel deep shame and disgust at the idea of approaching a woman who isn't into it - therefore becoming a harasser/rapist. Not out of outward pressure, but inward pressure of genuinely wanting to be a "good person."

The socialist position is actually consistent as follows:
- it should be illegal for a landlord to let a substandard unit
- it should be illegal to improve a commercial property without DCWP licensing and DOB permits
- it should be illegal for a landlord to charge a rent that would justify improvements at legal wages
- it should be illegal for a landlord to sidestep this by converting rentals to private condos at market prices
- the government should tax vacancies prohibitively to force a fire sale of regulated buildings
- politically approved buyers of distressed assets are "not a landlord" by socialist ethics, because they are scrappy owner-occupiers
- it should be legal for politically approved owners to convert the rentals to condos
- it should be legal for politically approved owners to live in a unit otherwise deemed uninhabitable while they improve it
- it should be legal for politically approved owners to do work without licensing and permits
End state: Expropriation of housing stock for your political clients. They are permitted the freedoms of ownership, of working without regulation, but this version is good because they are not capitalists.

The only ordnance ‘39 Europe had available which could even slow them down are its Soviet 152mm howitzers and ‘maybe’ Germany and Italy’s 15cm howitzers — all of which were towed (the first noteworthy self-propelled howitzers were fielded in 1940), none of which were accurate. Only the USSR’s KV-2s (which notably had 152mm howitzers as its main guns) could even scratch an Abrams paint, and those were famously gigantic pieces of shit.
‘39 Europe’s prop-fighters and strike aircraft might as well be target drones for the division’s Avenger batteries.
