This year is a great year for games. To name a few, RE Requiem, Pragmata, Onimusha (WTF CAPCOM),GBFR : Endless Ragnarok, 007 First Light, FE : Fortune's Weave, Ace Combat 8, DD2 - Dark Arisen.
The year isn't even over yet and even 2027 has exciting titles too !

Mission 20 (Escort Orbiter) is the most popular and obvious example.
Joker Flight, Queen Flight, AWACS, and Cope reinforce this, and it's a profound feeling that only a game can do, and Ace Combat 8 nails it.
The timing is perfect too. It doesn't happen early, it happens 20 Missions later, so you feel that the moment is earned and deserved.
Joker 1/Rex is special, and the game's story and gameplay makes you feel it. Mission 20 reminds you just how big a deal Wings of Theve is.
